🛫Pro Travel Reminders from me and Max:🛬
- Flying after May 7, 2025? Make sure you have a REAL ID form of identification for all travelers 18 and older, for flying inside the USA.
- US Passports - do you have one yet? While you need a passport book to fly OUT of the country, you can use a passport card as another REAL ID when flying around inside the country. Expect 4-6 weeks for creation after your application is received.
-- Do you have a passport but not sure when it expires? Children 0-15 have a 5 year expiration date on their passport, and travelers 16 and older will have a 10 year expiration date.
--- Are you a world traveler? Check your passport book and make sure you have at least 4 blank pages before your next trip!
-- Checking a bag on your next flight? Best practice is to get your back CHECKED in with the airline no later than 60 minutes prior to your flight departure. Many airlines are trying to manage a lot of bags, so getting to the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure (even if it's a small airport) is a wise idea.
----Flying internationally? Get to the airport 3 hours prior to departure, and make sure your bag is checked in at least 90 minutes prior to departure.
---Check your flight details - if you chose a basic economy ticket, usually you can't carry on a bag, and you must check it.
--Make sure your personal item is small enough to fit under a seat - but if you chose the front row - you have to put your item overhead and not at your feet.
---HEADPHONES - Don't make your seatmate mad, or anyone else. Use headphones for all electronic devices.
Be a smart traveler when you fly!
