On my first visit in 1984, I was fortunate to be shown around Santa Fe by locals who loved their home town and showed me their favorite places, introduced me to colorful characters, and helped make my experience of Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico very special, and I'll always be grateful for that. I explored places and enjoyed experiences I would never have found on my own, and I realized that Santa Fe isn't like anywhere else.

Travel sites nowadays are so impersonal and overwhelming with their exhaustive lists and distracting ad content, and are not created by locals who love the area.

I created Santa Fe Selection Travel Guide so that I could share my personal recommendations to travelers - many of which I received when I first visited. My curated travel guide website, Mini Guide Maps and concierge cards focus on locally-owned small businesses, tour operators, artists, restaurants, and immersive experiences; those things that I know offer a sense of “insider” access to the area's history, art, culture, people, traditions, and flavors that are authentic and characteristically New Mexican. Our lodging category offers special discount links where you can book directly and receive discounts that are exclusive to Santa Fe Selection.
