Johns county. Johns County is a county located in northeastern Florida. As of the 2000 census, the population was 123,135. The U.S. Census Bureau estimated the population as of 2008 at 181,540. The county seat is St. Augustine. Due to the inclusion of Ponte Vedra Beach, it is one of the highest-income counties in the United States. Johns County is part of the Greater Jacksonville Metropolitan area

. It has experienced explosive growth in the last ten years as a flood of people working in Jacksonville built new homes across the county line. Johns County was created in 1821 when Florida was ceded to the United States. The Onis-Adams Treaty was negotiated with Spain by Secretary of State John Quincy Adams. The treaty gave Florida to the US in exchange for withdrawing a $5 million claim against Spain.[2] It was named for St. John the Baptist. Johns County and Escambia County were Florida's original two counties, with the Suwannee River being the boundary between the two.

We are working hard to make your student’s 8th grade year a great one, but we need your support to make that happen! The students really enjoy these experiences to make their last year at POA special, so we hope you will contribute.

There are two donation levels: (1) Your $30 donation will allow your 8th grade student(s) to enjoy a custom class t-shirt, a commemorative class photo, a graduation ceremony, and mini surprise events planned throughout the year. (2) Your $60 donation includes all of the previous mentioned items/experiences PLUS a ticket to the 8th Grade Semi-formal dance. In order to attend the dance, students must have donated to the 8th Grade Committee at a level that includes a ticket to the dance. No tickets will be sold at the door the evening of the dance!

Donations are due by Friday, October 21st. Look for a hard copy form to come home with your student in the next week or visit the link below to complete the form and pay online.

We hope our kindie families will join us for Donuts with Grownups on Monday, August 15th, at 8:30 am in the cafeteria extension.

After you drop off your child, stick around for coffee and donuts. This is a great opportunity to meet other kindie parents and, more specifically, other parents from your child's class. You can pick up your PTO membership items or join the PTO if you haven't already. We will also be available to answer any questions.

Donut worry - it's going to be a great first day! Go Chargers!
