BREAKING NEWS

Luanda, 30 September 2024: TAAG Angola Airlines (Linhas Aéreas de Angola) has welcomed new Airbus A220-300 aircraft today, each capable of seating 137 passengers — 12 in business class and 125 in economy class. This delivery of the two aircrafts marks a significant step in TAAG's strategy to revitalize and enhance its brand image.

The new Airbus A220-300s proudly feature TAAG's distinct Angolan livery, prominently displaying the PALANCA logo on the tail and wings, alongside a colour scheme inspired by the traditional Angolan cloth known as “Samakaka.”

Passengers, me included can soon look forward to enjoying the new aircraft on local and regional flights, showcasing the vibrant colours of Angola. This initiative reflects TAAG's ambition to position itself as a modern, preferred airline in the region.

The arrival of the new fleet aligns with TAAG's upcoming transition to the New Luanda International Airport, Dr. António Agostinho Neto, amidst a changing competitive landscape. The strategic expansion of its fleet and routes aims to capture more traffic and enhance regional connectivity.

TAAG's turnaround strategy is showing promising results, instilling confidence in the airline's future and commitment to excellence. Congratulations to the Angolan Government, TAAG's leadership, management team, and all strategic stakeholders on this milestone. Angola’s success and growth is Africa’s gain.

Congratulations!
