Paradise found in every rainbow. 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay was a phenomenal property that I’m so excited to share with you! Sunrise and sunset in one day was an exceptionally moving experience while on Maui! We enjoyed our light snacks and drinks, along with many whale sightings again! Our Trilogy III staff was super!

Other than vacationing on the east coast and seeing a bit of a sunrise and a glimpse of a sunset…. Yesterday, I started my day with the sun rising and ended with the sun setting. I have never intentionally woke up at 2:15 am to drive to one of the most amazing viewings of a sunrise I have ever seen! Incredible, purposeful and intentional are the first few words that come to mind. Welcome to Haleakalā, The House of the Sun. Sound UP and enjoy!

The Hawaiian Lei is much more than a greeting for visitors. They are still prominent today in Hawaiian culture. A Hawaiian lei symbolizes a connection between the giver and the receiver, a connection governed by affection or respect.

💜 Never refuse a lei. In Hawaii, receiving a lei as a gift is a high honor.
🤍 Know when and when not to remove a lei. You also should not remove it in front of the person who gave it to you.
💜 Wear your lei so that it drapes both in front and back. Alternatively, you can wear it around your head, wrist, or hat.
🤍 It is considered impolite to give a tied lei to a pregnant woman. When I prepare a lei greeting for clients, it’s important to know details about the guests.

💜 The most important rule here is that you do not throw your lei in the trash. This is considered rude, as you are throwing away the affection and respect of the person who gave you the lei. The lei should instead be returned to the land or left somewhere with personal significance.

This morning, I returned mine to the land.

Another place in the United States that I was brought to tears, but it also didn’t help that the captain was playing Somewhere over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole. Today has consisted of the incredible NāPali Coast In Kaua’i, several whale breeches, pods of spinner dolphins, sea turtles, colorful fish, snorkeling, and so much more & it’s not even 2 pm!
Just wow. 🐠 🤿 🐢 🐬 🐋
