Meet Frank. While on vacation in Tenerife, Frank decided to book a cleanup dive.
It was a beautiful clear morning with way more wildlife sightings than debris... All good. Especially that Bishop Ray getting all up close and personal, that was awesome!!!

Last year, these guys spent their free time booking cleanup dives. They were saluted by Stingray Ramona, much appreciated by all the animals that would have nibbled on plastic if these guys hadn't removed it from the water, and ultimately ended up winning our all included diving trip to the Maldives, where they were greeted by Manta Ray Skelletor...

El año pasado, estos chicos pasaron su tiempo libre reservando inmersiones de limpieza. La Raya Atlántica Ramona los saludó, fueron muy apreciados por todos los animales que habrían mordisqueado el plástico si estos chavales no lo hubieran sacado del agua, y finalmente terminaron ganando nuestro viaje de buceo con todo incluido a las Maldivas, donde fueron recibidos por la Manta Raya Skelletor...

Amarilla Golf and EcoDive are happy to launch a long term collaboration project to recover and keep track of lost golf balls that fall into the ocean. By acknowledging the issue and setting up a project to address it head on, Amarilla Golf has set a great example to all coastal businesses.
As we go underwater and clean up, Amarilla Golf keeps track of lost golf balls vs recovered ones. This helps us keep track of the situation and ensure that it is controlled.
Our reefs are fast to react to change, and we are seeing a lot of life in our twice-per-week golf ball hunts! 😀😜🐠🐙🦞🦐🐡🦀🦑
🇬🇧 Sea Mole scores big by removing this car seat from the ocean! Nonwonder this baby angel shark decided to come out and say hello!🤿
The angel shark is one of the most fascinating encounters you can have in Tenerife, especially in the period between November and April, when the water temperature decreases and it is therefore more likely to approach the Canary coast.
If you are lucky (and have a keen eye!) you will be able to see it as it waits for its prey, half-hidden in the sandy seabed, in which it manages to camouflage itself thanks to its peculiar flattened shape and brownish-gray coloring.

🇪🇸 Sea Mole punctúa alto al sacar este sillón de coche del mar! No es de extrañar que este joven angelote decidiera asomarse a saludar!🤿
El angelote es uno de los encuentros más fascinantes que puedes tener en Tenerife, sobre todo en el periodo comprendido entre noviembre y abril, cuando la temperatura del agua disminuye y, por tanto, es más probable que se acerque a la costa canaria.
Si tienes suerte (¡y un ojo avizor!) podrás verlo mientras espera a su presa, semioculto en el fondo arenoso del mar, en el que consigue camuflarse gracias a su peculiar forma achatada y a su coloración gris parda.

Maldives contest winners and Ruby were greeted by a large crowd at the sandbank reef. They deserved it too after winning a whole contest by cleaning up the coast! 🤙😃🦀🦀🦀
EcoDive Contest winners Dr. Nelson, Dani, Stingray Whisperer, and Juani can no longer walk by a piece of beach debris and not remove it. Seriously, it's addictive to walk by something that could be better and make it instantly brethtaking just by grabbing a chunk of plastic 😜🦀🦐🐠🐡🐙🦑🦞🪼🐟
While in the Maldives, a group of Nurse Sharks came by to say hello! Dr Nelson was ready to jump into the water with them, but we talked him out of it just in case 😜🦐🦀
Our 2023 Maldives contest winners's arrival to Rasdhoo was something worth celebrating. Those were truly awesome times out there. We'll keep posting quick memories while we look forward to next year's trip!
