Dining in Hobart 🍴🥂 Head to Fico if you're looking for a European casual fine dining experience with local and seasonal produce. It's not cheap but it's 100% worth treating yourself and getting out of your comfort zone if you're not used to trying different food. Their 9 course set menu can change daily depending on the produce available and the creativity of fhe chefs so you won't know what's on the menu until you arrive. I love that style of dining and I think it's all part of the fun.

Allow about 3 hours for the experience and book in advance. They only open reservations 1 month on advance so be organised if you want to go.

📍Siena, Tuscany, Italy 🇮🇹 🙌

Planning for 2023 overseas adventures begins soon 😍 Before COVID-19 I travelled overseas multiple times each year so I can't wait to explore our wonderful world again. A trip back to Italy is definitely on the cards 🍴🥂

Have you been overseas recently? I'd love to hear if you noticed any changes.

Food in Tasmania 🙌🍴 We ate some amazing food during our trip in Tassie earlier this year. Sunday lunch at Swansea Waterloo Inn was definitely a highlight. It's quirky interior, gorgeous location, stunning food and funky wines contributed to an incredible and unique experience. They say it's a 3-course lunch but we definitely received more food than we expected and we weren't mad about it. The produce was divine and every mouthful was a pillow of flavour and comfort.

I loved it so much and I just booked lunch there again when I return to Tassie for a girl's trip next month. I can't wait to see what's on the surprise menu as it can change almost daily according to seasonal produce. If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping in for lunch for dinner just make sure you're not in a rush and give yourself time to enjoy the experience.

That time in Naples 😍 We rode water bikes around the Bay of Naples 🙌 It was such a unique and very beautiful way to see a different view of Naples! I had a little too much Prosecco the night before so this was a challenge but it was worth it 🤣 We ate pizza at Gino Sorbillo Lievito Madre al Mare after our ride and it was soooo good 🍕

Make sure you visit Devil's Corner Cellar Door if you're exploring East Coast Tasmania 🙌🍷 The view is spectacular and the wine is really good. There are a few different options if you want something to eat. We tried the seafood arancini and went on an oyster farm tour just down the road after our visit.

Oysters in Tasmania 😍🦪 I'm pretty sure we ate our weight in oysters during our trip 🙌 They're everywhere if you're near the ocean and some of the oysters we ate there were some of the best we've ever eaten. If you want to get out in the water to learn more about oyster farming and how to shuck oysters (you'll be able to impress your guests at your next dinner party) then we highly recommend Oyster Bay Tours with Declan. He is so knowledgeable and makes the tour laid back and fun. You then get to feast on your freshly shucked oysters with local wine and freshly steamed mussels. The mussels were soooo sweet and tasty. We didn't expect them to taste so good 😍 you also have a spectacular view while doing this tour.

We stayed in Coles Bay for 2 nights during our trip and we hiked to Wineglass Bay Lookout, visited Devil's Corner Cellar Door, explored the Freycinet National Park and surrounding areas, ate more seafood, ice cream, delicious pizza and did the oyster tour while we were there. You can go on cruises, more hikes and do heaps of adventure activities in the area. We're going to return and go camping there.

Make sure you stop at Lobster Shack Tasmania if you're driving through or staying at Bicheno while exploring East Coast Tasmania 🦞🌊🥂

Delicious food with a spectacular view and we even has some local birds stop by for a visit.

Get there early because it gets REALLY busy but they also do takeaway.

Bruny Island 🙌 It's a short 30-minute drive from Hobart to the ferry and it costs $40 for a return ticket in a standard car. It's definitely worth visiting if you have time and you could easily spend a full day or two there exploring the island. We spent half a day there and hoped to fit in a few big hikes but ended up running out of time. So this is what we did.....

1. Caught the 8:10am ferry.
2. Walked to the top of Truganini lookout and soaked up the beautiful view.
3. Found The Bruny Baker supplies and picked up some chocolate Anzac slice.
4. Drove to Adventure Bay and stopped at some of the beautiful beaches.
5. Ate too much cheese and sampled the beer at Bruny Island Cheese Co. & Bruny Island Beer Co.
6. Ate some fresh oysters and has a quick Tasmanian sparkling at Get Shucked Bruny Island Oysters.
7. Caught the 1:30pm ferry back.

There are heaps of things to see, eat and explore at Bruny Island and you can even spend a night there. It's a beautiful part of Tasmania and we would definitely return. We plan on spending a few week camping in Tasmania when we return.

TASMANIA 😍 Cheese tasting at Pyengana Dairy and Real Milk after visiting Bay of Fires, St Columba Falls and the Pub in the Paddock Pyengana 🙌 It's about 30kms from St Helen's and their cheese tasting plate is only $15. The aged cheddar was our favourite 🧀 We drove to Coles Bay after we stopped here and did all of the above in one day. Tasmania is a beautiful part of Australian and the world. The scenery is gorgeous and there's an abundance and beautiful produce, amazing wine, whisky and more. We've only been here for 3 days so far and have already packed in so much!
