When you think of packing for a trip to Disney World, you don't think about packing knit hats, gloves and winter coats. You're going to Florida after all 🌴☀️
Last week, I packed all of them and am so glad I did. What you pack, can make or break a trip. I started watching the weather 10 days from check-in and as our trip got closer the weather got worse. The predicted temperatures dropped and the rain probability increased. Knowing this, my usual Disney packing list changed a lot. Instead of shorts, t-shirts and swimsuits, I was packing long sleeves, pants and a lot of sweatshirts. Plus double the socks and shoes. There is nothing worse than walking around in wet shoes and socks. Being able to switch out our shoes and socks and having multiple layers kept everyone happy.
While the temperatures we experienced are not the norm for winter in Florida, it is a good idea to bring clothing to layer when visiting during winter months. Mornings and evenings can be cold even when afternoon temperatures call for short sleeves and shorts.
These tips and personal experiences are just some of what I share with my clients to help make their Disney World vacation magical!
It was a whirlwind few days in Disney World! By far the coldest and wettest time I've ever had there, but we still had a blast! We enjoyed two character meals, visited every park (several more than once), checked off my kids must dos and created lifelong memories with their grandparents. Plus using the new Multi Pass system myself has given me better insight to share with my clients.

Today was a wet and rainy one at Magic Kingdom, so why not add a little extra water....Tiana's Bayou Adventure was a must do for my 5 year old.
I scored a Lightning Lane when my 7 day prior MultiPass selection window opened. Because it can be hard to get, it was the first one I selected even though Magic Kingdom was the third park we were going to. The only other way to ride it right now is a virtual queue that opens twice a day.
The picture may not look it, but my daughter wanted to ride it again immediately. Lol.
We arrived at Disney's Art of Animation Resort today! The weather isn’t ideal, but I'll take cool and rainy at Disney World over the 🥶 of PA. This is our first time staying here, and I am loving the Cars Family Suite. So much room.

1960s – It all began with Walt Disney’s vision for Tomorrowland at Disneyland—a place where the wonders of the future could spark our imaginations. His boldest dream? A roller coaster that would simulate an actual voyage through space! Unfortunately, that idea was a little too far out—technology just wasn’t ready for it so, the concept was tucked away.
1971 – Walt Disney World opened with plenty of space (pun intended) for new attraction development, and the dream of Space Mountain, originally called “Space Voyage”, got a second chance. Inspired by the Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland park, the Imagineers at WED Enterprises (now called Walt Disney Imagineering) decided to take things up a notch and designed an indoor, computer operated, dual-track coaster that wasn’t just a ride—it was a full-blown galactic adventure!
1972 – The visionary Imagineer John Hench led the charge, and construction kicked off in December 1972. Two years of hard work later, Space Mountain was ready to shine. Its sleek, conical design—supported by those iconic exterior beams—is instantly recognizable. At 183 feet tall and 300 feet in diameter, it’s not just a ride; it’s a Tomorrowland landmark.
1975 – The grand opening at Magic Kingdom Park took place on January 15, 1975, and was a party for the ages. Picture this: a 2,000-member marching band, balloons, fireworks, and even NASA astronauts Gordon Cooper, James Irwin, and Scott Carpenter were there. Now that’s how you launch a legend!
The success of Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom sparked a galactic trend, inspiring versions at Disney Parks around the world—each with its own unique twist. While no two Space Mountains are the same, they all share that timeless mix of wonder, adventure, and out-of-this-world thrills that started it all in Florida.

You can read all the articles online and look at every single brochure, but absolutely nothing beats the firsthand experience of being in a destination, at a resort, or on a cruise ship, in the thick of things.
That’s why taking trips is such a big priority for me.

Happy New Year everyone! My kids are back in school today (I really don't remember my winter break being this long as a kid😄) and that means I'm back in the office.
What's on my to do list?
At the top is wishing Bon Voyage to a couple headed to Hawaii in their honeymoon! And making sure they don't have any last minute questions.
Next up is finalizing details for client's upcoming cruises. This includes triple checking they have the correct boarding documents, printing luggage tags, helping choose shore excursions and confirming transfers to/from the cruise port.
And finally working on my own trip to Disney World at the end of the month. I need to book transfers, and finalize our park days/dining plans.

Student trips to Australia, New Zealand and France solidified her passion for travel.
Researching and planning all of the details of a vacation has always been part of the fun of a vacation.
