Flea market find. Growing up in south Columbus Tom Reiser’s shop on South High Street was a place us kids would stop by on our BMX bikes. Tom wasn’t unfriendly, but he didn’t exactly invite us to hang around. This bike was in his showroom and by showroom I mean the small place you would stand while he spoke to you from the “shop” where a small counter separated you. I don’t know much about him, but he was held in high regard as an engine builder much more than a customizer. He built some incredible hill climb bikes and had a guy I went to high school with, James “Jimbo” Large ride them. Jimbo won several AMA National Hillclimb Championships on Tom Reiser built machines. IIRC Tom passed away 8 or 10 years ago. His shop equipment and inventory were auctioned. I called to specifically ask about the Chevy V8 bike and was told Tom sold it or donated it to a museum. This postcard was 1,800 miles away from Reiser’s.

Ethanol free gas! Not cheap, but one of the few sources we know of other than a few marinas. Hometown Market 3895 Columbus Rd. (Rt. 3) Centerburg, Ohio. it’s what best for caurbureted engines, especially ones not used for a few months. Motorcycles, boats, chainsaw, w**d eaters, snowblowers.

Met Nolan Harkins today in Roscoe Village. Nolan is 70 years old. This is his 3rd BMW S1000RR. It is a 2020 & already has 7k miles on it. He likes to ride down to the Dragon & Skyway on a regular basis from his home in northern Ohio. He’s owned a little of everything and “loves anything with two wheels” but primarily rode Japanese sportbikes until BMW introduced the RR. Really cool guy with awesome stories.

This Saturday, July 25th! The Big Long One! Here are the details: We will start at . Kickstands up at 10:15. for the route, put these cities into your google maps app, then select "avoid highways" under "options".
Pennisula Ohio. Botzum Ohio Granger Ohio. Mt Eaton Ohio. Choshocton Ohio. Gann Ohio. Loundonville Ohio. Wellington Ohio. Noble Beast 1470 Lakeside Ave E, Cleveland, OH 44114.
I would recommend letting Google maps take you down the highway after Wellington. Otherwise it is a lot of Stop n Go through the city.
We are ending at around 5pm-ish. Availability of tables is dependent on how many people show up. Covid has made things difficult to plan. But there is a huge parking lot of you want to hang out while social distancing.
Facemasks are required inside Skidmark!!! and probably Noble Beast.

This is a ride your own ride event. Everyone has to put the directions into their phone, and follow the route. Go at your pace with your riding buddies.

Since had to be cancelled due to the pandemic: Knoble Moto is going to hold a big long ride in July. Minimum 200 miles. Start at I will pass out, or digitally share directions at the start and everyone can go for an awesome ride through the country. Ride your own ride at your own speed. Hopefully something will be open for a destination at the end of it. Stay tuned and stay healthy.

The Progressive International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach CA is the kickoff of their tour and is always a great place to visit. Not a huge show, but very crowded. A few new machines for 2018 & lots of motorcycle industry types.
