Todays area we would like to introduce to you is Kamakura. Kamakura is a coastal town in Kanagawa Prefecture, less than an hour south of Tokyo.
Kamakura became the political center of Japan, when Minamoto Yoritomo chose the city as the seat for his new military government in 1192. The Kamakura government continued to rule Japan for over a century, first under the Minamoto sh**un and then under the Hojo regents.
After the decline of the Kamakura government in the 14th century and the establishment of its successor, the Muromachi or Ashikaga government in Kyoto, Kamakura remained the political center of Eastern Japan for some time before losing its position to other cities.
Today, Kamakura is a small city and a very popular tourist destination. Sometimes called the Kyoto of Eastern Japan, Kamakura offers numerous temples, shrines and other historical monuments. In addition, Kamakura's sand beaches attract large crowds during the summer months.

All areas of the prefecture are within 100 kilometers of Tokyo, and Saitama's geographic location is advantageous in business, living, and cultural events. There are also a number of other must-see scenic sights, such as Nagatoro with rock formations along the river, Kuroyama-santaki Falls or the solemn Mt. Kuro-yama's Three Falls, and the castle town Kawagoe where you can enjoy a classic, bus tours through the 19th-century buildings and streets lined with traditional buildings in the style of storehouses.

Todays area we would like to introduce to you is one of the biggest korean towns in Tokyo, Shin-Okubo. Shin-Okubo Station is situated in the Okubo district in the middle of Koreatown. Koreatown is the Korean ethnic enclave in Tokyo, for which Shin-Okubo Station is mainly known. The area developed after World War II when immigrants from Korea started moving into Japan. Koreatown is made up of the main street Okubo Dori and the maze of the many small streets that join it. Okubo Dori is a busy and lively Korean commercial street, lined on both sides with mainly Korean, and to a lesser extent Chinese and Thai, shops and restaurants. The narrow streets that open from the main street have houses, low rise apartment blocks, and love hotels. As the Koreans have held on to their language and way of life, Koreatown is a good place to experience Korean culture.

Todays area we would like to introduce to you is one of the sh*tamachi neighborhoods in Japan, Yanesen. (Combined with 3 locations: Yanaka, Nezu and Sendagi). Yanakaginza Shopping Street allows visitors to catch a glimpse of old Japan. Popular for its cherry blossoms, Yanaka-reien cemetery is one of the many perfect places for a stroll in any season. It was also a place well-loved by many literary masters. If you decide to cross the hill road and go through the mazelike alleyways, you will definitely encounter retro scenes of Tokyo as if you’ve gone on a time trip to the “good old days”.

Todays are we would like to introduce to you is, Shibamata where they keep the heritage of the traditional Edo style. Shibamata retains the ambience of a sh*tamachi middle-class town straight from the film series Otoko wa tsurai yo (It’s Tough Being a Man). Shibamata Taishakuten Temple houses recognizable pieces of architecture such as Taishakudo and the main hall, and attracts a lively crowd during the Kanoe-Saru Fair. A treasure trove of historic buildings, the approach doubling as a shopping street since the first year of the Taisho period (1912–26) is fun to stroll through while munching on a famous handmade kusa-dango (sweet dumpling made with mugwort) or senbei (rice cracker). Shibamata Station features a statue of the films’ main character, Tora-san, as well as the Katsushika Shibamata Tora-san Museum displaying sets and objects used during filming.
