2023 is the year we restarted our diving trips after a hiatus during Covid. Covid had not been easy Ben and I - we didn’t see each other for 2.5 years, and our stabilised dive business suddenly crashed down to zero. However we persisted, kept fit and got ready for the time when we can teach again. This year we restarted at half of our usual capacity and I’m thankful for all the divers that still trusted us & joined our trips/ gatherings (I mean, I’ve gotten some white hair since 2019!). Are you in any of these photos? If so, I’d like to thank you from the bottom of my heart! Next year will be even better & more exciting. Happy new year all! ❤️❤️

Saw a small piece of dried leaf being swept from a spot to another. Took a closer look and voila, it’s a frogfish mimicking a dried leaf! Unlike other fishes, a frogfish moves by taking big gulps of water into its mouth and then expelling it through the gills, thereby creating a force to help it propel forward. This little guy still has to sway side to side like a leaf in between the propulsions 😂

This Jorunna parva nudibranch which is less than 1cm long is just the cutest little thing! Here it is attempting to feed while the current around it is going opposite directions every few seconds. A wonder that it can stay still!

Are you as mesmerised as us by this amazing surreal scene we see here? We had to shoo off fishes to finally get to our divers!

Launching a last frontier exclusive dive trip destination - Triton Bay, Indonesia from 1-10 March 2024 🤩🤩 We have blocked the ONLY resort there for now, and early bird promotion is extended to 10 July!

Check out this amazing video of Triton Bay and make sure to watch to the end ◡̈ A variety of amazing schools of fish without going too deep. And the moon phase for the week allows for great chances to see whalesharks like at Cendrawasih (ie possibly several at one time). Top it off with macro and I think we have a marine haven here! ❤️ PM for details!

In awe of nature. How tiny we each are in the face of God’s magnificent creations! This is a throwback shot taken at Raja Ampat before Covid struck.

It’s been 2.5 years without almost any post from me due to Covid. But I’ve just returned to diving, Malaysia being my first destination, and hope to find back what I’ve temporarily lost. To all of you divers out there, welcome back to the world underwater! Let’s protect our ocean and appreciate all that is within it ❤️

Taken with a wide angle dome lens at a dive site , Philippines before COVID struck. The plane, intentionally stripped and sunk as an artificial reef in 1993, is an American two-sitter donated by Lancair and sits on a sea bed at about 22 meters (~7 stories) deep underwater. In front of it is a steep 50 meter deep drop off. I remember that I was totally enjoyed shooting this and our divers with it then ◡̈

Best butt view in the day 😁😁 Do you know that…

1)…this female turtle is already late in returning to the sea? Usually eggs are laid at night and mothers go back to the ocean before dawn.

2) …that last year (2021), 16,371 baby turtles hatched and were released safely into the sea from 206 nests on this beach alone at . We had 2 volunteers and who worked tirelessly for this cause on the beach with not one single guest last year, lonely as they were ❤️

3)…that part of the proceeds from my .art workshops go towards supporting this cause? Based on operating costs of S$3/baby, we have technically helped 308 hatchlings go safely into the ocean this year to date 🥰 Also a shoutout to my diver and friend Ray Shun who contributes monthly to this. Thank you so much!!
