North Oklahoma City Bassmasters held our annual awards meeting yesterday for 2023.
David Hughes left with both Big Bass of the Year and Member of the Year plaques. Angler of the Year went to Brian Dickirson, while Eric Baker and Robert DeGraffenried collected their Club Championship plaques.

Our next meeting is Tuesday January 9th at 7 pm at Johnnies Charcoal Burgers on West Britton. It will be our award meeting.
All are welcome, existing members as well as anyone looking for a bass club to fish with. Co-anglers are welcome.

This year's Oklahoma B.A.S.S. Nation Top 6 Tournament was on September 30th and October 1st at Lake Texoma. North Oklahoma City Bassmasters finished in first place with 57.21 lbs, beating 2nd place by 16.90 lbs.
Big Bass was caught by Eric Baker day 1 and Michael Stranz day 2.

Our eighth tournament of 2023 is Saturday August 12 at Keystone Lake. Please be at the ramp by 6 am and we will start fishing by 630 am. We will launch from the main ramp at Prairie View Point boat ramp. We will fish until 1 pm. Three fish per person and you cannot catch your partner's fish. We will hand out the club's handheld scales and all fish will be weighed and immediately released.
This is our last event to qualify for the top six team.
Off limits will be point to point of the Prairie View Cove and the Salt Creek Marina, from the west end to the east end.
Please be sure and split costs on getting to the lake. As per our updated rules, it is recommended that the non-boater pay $40 for expenses for the day. Please be sure and have a conversation between partners to decide how to split expenses.
It is still not too late to sign up. We are short several non-boaters. If you draw out alone, you can also bring a guest.

We will be having our May monthly meeting this evening at 7 pm at Johnnie's Charcoal Broiler at 2652 W Britton Rd.
We will draw for our Okemah tournament on Saturday May 13.

Our April meeting is tomorrow evening, Tuesday April 11 at 7 pm at Johnnie's Charcoal Broiler 2652 W Britton Road. We will be in the meeting room in th back. Thank you Eric Baker for setting up the meeting location. We can get the room starting at 630 pm so you can get there early and eat if you want or you can stay and eat or have a drink afte the meeting. We are not far from Lucky Lure so you can swing by there before heading to the meeting if you need something for this weekend.

Our November meeting is tomorrow night, Tuesday November 8th at Lucky Lure Tackle store at 7 pm. We will be voting on our lakes for 2023. If you cannot make the meeting you can fill out the attached form and send it back to me. If you don't see a lake on the list that you want to vote for, you may write it in. However, please note that this list has all the major lakes on it that typically are large enough to host a club tournament. If you have any questions please reach out to me. Otherwise we will see ya tomorrow night. I will have printed out sheets to cast your votes on at the meeting.
We will also vote on the changes to our rules and by-laws, and it is officer election month.
There will be no December meeting.

Our final tournament of 2022 is our Club Championship this Saturday & Sunday October 22 23 at Lake Eufaula.
Because of the expected winds this weekend, we have changed our normal take off and weigh in procedures. Please be extra careful out there this weekend and be weather aware.
Both Saturday and Sunday we will utilize a trailering take off. You will be allowed to go to the ramp of your choice and unload. You must stay within 100 yards of the ramp you put in at until 7:15 am. At 7:15 am you can then either begin to fish or leave the ramp area. You may only trailer twice during the day, meaning you can unload at one ramp in the morning and then load and unload at a different ramp only once.
Weigh ins each day will be at the pavilion at the South Pointe ramp. On Saturday, you must quit fishing by 4 pm and you must be to the pavilion by 430 pm. You will be considered late if you get there after 430 pm. If you have driven farther than 30 minutes away from the weigh in location, then you may not get to fish until 4 pm. Please do not be late. On Sunday, you must quit fishing by 3 pm and you must be to the pavilion by 330 pm. You will be considered late if you get there after 330 pm. If you have driven farther than 30 minutes away from the weigh in location, then you may not get to fish until 3 pm. Please do not be late.
This is a true team event, five fish per boat each day and it does not matter who catches the fish.
12 inch minimum an all large/small/spotted bass.
All of Eufaula Cove will be off-limits. from the rock jetty straight across to the south bank.
Please be sure and split costs on getting to the lake. This has always been at least $20 as per our tournament rules, but we all know that it costs more than that to get these boats to the lakes, it is not just the gas that is used in the boat but the cost of fuel in the truck to pull the boat.
