Press Release
Gabriele Lintner (Gaby) is a Sunshine Coast entrepreneur who creates beautifully crafted unique silver spoon jewellery which she sells online and at select markets situated around Queensland’s South East and particularly on the Sunshine Coast. The popularity of Gaby’s silver spoon creations has increased due to Online and Facebook exposure which has propelled her magnificent pieces
onto the international cyber marketplace and customers now include those living in Australia, New Zealand, Greece, Europe and the United States. This local artist is extremely humble when it comes to her work and plays down her ability more often than not. The reality is her work is exquisite and definitely world class which can be attributed to her innate sense of excellence and superb eye for detail. Many have attempted to emulate Gaby’s creations although it becomes clear the final result is more than just the concept itself. Like any great artist it is passion and motivation that shines through their work and usurpers who lack the vision, passion and talent are only ever able to offer inferior replicas of the original masterpiece. Those viewing the creations for the first time are initially drawn to Gaby’s pieces for their beauty and are often surprised to realize the base theme or framework is centered on silver spoon designs that express simplicity, intricacy and elegance. Born in Bern, Switzerland, Gaby displayed ability for artistic endeavor from an early age and initially expressed this through sewing class where she would take old dresses, disassemble them and piece them back together according to her vision of redesign. To her this was a natural thing to do and consequently did not consider this an abstract process that often underpins an artist’s ability to think outside the box. As with many people, Gaby’s underlying artistic talent remained dormant and it wasn’t until after her marriage and birth of her two daughters and immigration to Australia many years later that she began to explore her potential. Gaby’s past professional life in Switzerland included experience as a buyer/seller for Schild, a significant player in European clothes manufacturing. Unfortunately, her credentials had little relevance in Australia and finding a similar position in the increasingly tough job market appeared unlikely. After this revelation Gaby decided she needed to do something…but what? The answer came after she attended a local market and met a woman selling beaded jewellery among other wares. After forming a relationship with the woman Gaby soon realized she could create her own beaded jewellery and sell her items to this woman or perhaps at her own market stall. It didn’t take long for Gaby to realize that she was limited with the medium as so many others were also churning out much of the same. What she needed was something original, unique and special. Once her dormant creative juices were unleashed the rest is a matter of history. Today Gaby Lintner’s unique jewellery is sold around the world to those who appreciate her unique style of craftsmanship, beauty and elegance.
