Want your business to be the top-listed Travel Agency?
The INZANOUTS project began out of my frustration. I live on the South Carolina coast half way between Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia. Friends of mine from Milwaukee phoned to say that they would be visiting my area of the country and asked me to put together a list of “not to miss” places in Charleston and Savannah. They also asked if I could recommend any books or websites that would give them a real feeling for the two cities.
I began surfing the web and browsing the local bookstores. I was surprised. I couldn’t find any websites or books that gave a real taste of these two cities that I love dearly, hence my frustration.
Thus, INZANOUTS was born. I found that most guidebooks and websites were about hotels, restaurants and commercial enterprises for tourists. They weren’t really about these cities. A lot the places and businesses featured were obviously made prominent because they were paying for advertising.
Hotel and restaurant reviews have a place on travel websites and in guidebooks. But, let’s face it. The reason my friends from Milwaukee were getting on a plane to fly down to Charleston was not just to stay in a nice hotel and have a good meal or two. It was to see Charleston. You can find a fancy hotel and a decent meal almost anywhere, but the reason you spend the time and money to travel is to see the place your going to and not the four walls of your hotel room.
