We got to experience Crystal Mountain's new snowmaking system yesterday and it is awesome! So much snow from the new blowers. Mother Nature is helping with some natural snow too.

Quicksilver lift opens for the first time this season on Saturday December 2 and it has some of the best snow on the mountain. (It's where this photo was taken.)

There's a lot of fun to be had out there. And it's only the start of the winter.

The temperatures have dropped and Crystal Mountain's new snowmaking system is generating LOTS of snow. (Mother Nature is doing her part too.) Crystal Mountain now has 37 snow guns, a 350% increase in snowmaking capability! Learn more by watching the video.

Things are looking up! We received 3” overnight and temps will remain low this week allowing us to make snow on the lower slopes. We’re open with the Mt. Rainier Gondola & Green Valley Chair today and Tuesday!

Update: Starting Wednesday we'll also have Chinook Express, Forest Queen Express and Rainier Express lifts running. Discovery will open Friday and Quicksilver will open Saturday for the first time this season.

Crystal didn't get quite enough snow to open tomorrow (Friday, November 10) but it won't be long. The slopes are white and there's more snow in the forecast, especially at the beginning of next week. Stay tuned for updates.

We picked up 20" over the weekend and the mountain is almost ready. That being said we are tentatively planning to open on Friday, Nov. 10th, subject to the next storm delivering at least another 6" of snow. The forecast looks good so stay tuned and keep your schedules open.

Ski season is almost here, and we can't wait! Here's today's update from Crystal Mountain. After a couple of days of sun, it looks like lots more snow is headed our way.
