Donegal’s Bathing Season begins this weekend as beach lifeguards take up duty at 13 beaches around the county. Lifeguards will be on duty seven days a week from Saturday 27th June until the end of August and also for the first two weekends in September - http://ow.ly/HZvc30qSWbt

Scenic Lough Foyle Ferry is feeling positive.

Sailing update

The ferry will be back from the 20th July. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on board. All Government guidelines and recommendations will be in place. If we continue to make such good progress in defeating the pandemic we may be able to sail sooner so hopefully things keep moving in the right direction🤞

The Coastwatch Survey is designed to give an overview of the state of the coast. It involves volunteers from all walks of life checking their chosen 500m stretch of coast (survey unit) once around low tide, and jotting observations down on the survey questionnaire while on the shore. This citizen science work can be augmented with water tests. Data is then collected and pooled to provide a snapshot of state in areas surveyed at that time
