On the sweltering hot 97 degree day these people were the consumate professionals. They never broke character and were very entertaining. My 5 yr old kept asking if we could go find the actors every time we went to a new attraction. We encountered them a few times during our day long visit to the park and they were always chipper and upbeat. Great job, they truly enhanced our visit.

Kathleen Ordiway will portray Annie Edson Taylor who was a 63 year old school teacher who was tired of teaching children and wanted to make a name for herself. She decided she was going to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel, surely winning herself fame and glory to see her through the rest of her day…

Today our faithful team return for the final day of greeting and delighting guests at the Park. What a wonderful season - made so by a team of consummate professionals including Jamie Nablo, Gary Andrews-Steiglitz, Kathleen Ordiway, Aaron Rath, Maddie Green and others who - through heat, rain and exhaustion, deliver superb performances for so many from around the world. Thank you to our team, and to the world for coming to Niagara! 12-5 today....come bid adieu to another season!!!!

The world comes to Niagara Falls - we couldn't begin to list the Countries that our photos went home to today - and the families from Maine, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Denver and so many more. America and the World come to Niagara Falls and enjoy a sense of pride, wonder and awe of this magnificent place. Mr. Olmsted was sorely missed today, but we look forward to his return on Tuesday! Once again, a beautiful, sunny, exciting Saturday in Niagara!!!

Yesterday Encounter launched the first-ever "mobile murder mystery" and delivered "Murder on Millionaires Row". This was for a wonderful corporate group from Rich Products. Our guests portrayed the "ruling elite" of Buffalo's industrial past, toured the City, enjoyed a fantastic luncheon at the Twentieth Century Club (dining in a garden actually created by the real Olmsted's nephew), and a tour of the Mansions of Delaware. Kudos to Mr. Olmsted, Detective Webster (the talented Nick Lama), Maddie for working so hard behind the scenes. A rousing success - look for this to become a public tour next year.

Mr. Olmsted and Ms. Spelterini "hold court" with a family from Trinidad on Saturday, and Ms. Taylor leads the three women of history (including Angeline Whitney and Ms. Spelterini) at 3 Sisters Islands last Tuesday.
