Now this what I'm talking about.....HBCU DILLARD UNIVERSITY 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Whether it be our continuous partnership to activate the largest festival in the nation by per day attendance, inclusion in the city’s celebratory tradition of Mardi Gras, ongoing engagement with one of the top HBCUs in the country, Dillard University, or the $327M in annual impact that the festival brings - the cultural depth and breadth of our long-standing relationship with the community, local business owners and artists of the City of New Orleans and State of Louisiana is a commitment that we continue to deeply invest in, amplify, uphold and illuminate to all who join us for this annual celebration of Black culture.
As we prepared to celebrate the cultural commemoration of 50 years of Hip-Hop at this year’s festival, we planned with intention around the integration of New Orleans & Louisiana artists and the musical heritage across several experiences, including the evening concerts at the Caesar’s Superdome, daytime activations at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and within various locations in the city including the Family Day Block Party at Armstrong Park, where the genre will be the main event throughout. As our community knows, it is tradition that while we advertise many experiences in advance, we also incorporate surprise moments designed to deliver one-of-a-kind experiences that create life-long memories for festival attendees and members of the community, locally, nationally and globally, as we now also have virtual participation platforms.
Whether it be the celebration of Hip Hop femcees like New Orleans native, Mia X, who has previously been announced, or special surprise performances from local Hip-Hop artists that should not be missed, along with our all Crescent City musical line-up during our Family Day celebration, the city of New Orleans and state of Louisiana will be well represented including Hip-Hop artist, Juvenile. We look forward to once again unapologetically celebrating BLACK during this year’s event.
