We long to be present in the moment and living for the Eterna

Have you ever dreamed of going to Sri Lanka?
One of the best things there is seeing the local fishermen showcasing the traditional fishing method they used.
It’s a beautiful practice that is hardly used anymore. If you get to spot some doing so authentically, then consider yourself lucky.

Over the last few months we’ve had some of our visual work featured in . What an honour!
There is a big need to diversify travel and create excellent work around narratives that are so often overlooked. That’s why we love both our creative and diverse travel communities.
It’s been a wild year for the travel industry but we’re blessed to have survived. It just goes to show there’s space here for this community. There’s space here for you to be yourself.
We’re coming back. Stay tuned for what’s next for the Wind Collective. .

When you walk around Cuba, there seems to be music coming from everywhere! There’s something about this island - how infectious the vibe is, how dancing in the streets is second nature to walking, how every moment requires all your energy and full attention.
We’ve been going to Cuba for the last 3 years and we can’t wait to be back soon!
Have you been to Cuba? Is it on your bucketlist?

Happy Juneteenth!
If you don’t know, Juneteenth honours the end of slavery in the United States. June 19th 1865 was the day when news of emancipation and the Civil War’s end finally reached the last group of slaves in America!
This is a reminder to consider our freedom and remember that in some ways freedom for black people has been denied and delayed. I believe the question to Langston Hughes poem “What happens to a dream deferred?” is happening right now! There’s a revolution, a collective understanding coming to being. Black people are realising the dream and demanding freedom. Our allies are waking up and standing up! There’s a sense of solidarity and revolution in this generation! We own that narrative also as a black owned company passionate about expressing ourselves freely through travel and creativity! We will sing freedom to the ends of the earth and we will walk in it with hope until the finish line!
Happy Juneteenth ya’ll. Shout for your freedom! How are you celebrating?

One of my favourite parts of Ghana is James Town. I stayed in Ghana for around 6 weeks on my last visit and I would regularly visit this coastal part of Accra to hang out with my new Ga friends. Little fishing boats lined the shore and the men would sew their nets on the dock. Boys would flip into the ocean and catch waves on any kind of board they could find. Ladies were having their hair braided and selling wares near the market. There was art on the walls and music in the streets and the scent of fried fish filled the air.

Black Lives Matter. They always have. They always will.
Black Out Tuesday is about solidarity with the Black Community on a global level. It’s about stopping ‘business as usual’ and instead focusing on amplifying black voices whilst educating, standing up to/against injustice and tangibly supporting our cause (we’ve listed some ways in our stories for you to join the fight). For once, the whole world is aware. Support, Donate, Just don’t be silent.
