Do you ever get vacation envy? With the amount of time I spend researching and planning trips for clients, I’m constantly in a state of wanting to take other people’s vacations! Last year Italy was a top destination for my clients and yesterday I went on the Tuscany wine tour that we send so many clients on. It was truly spectacular - the views, the wine and food. I absolutely love it when I stumble upon totally unexpected little gems and experiences while I travel. What’s better is I get to share those gems with clients for their trips! It may look like it’s all fun and games when I travel (okay, it totally is a lot of fun!) but it’s also information gathering for future travel planning. Yesterday was one of those days! While we hit the Accademia Gallery and Uffizi Museum to see major works of art with the most darling guide Rosa, we also found charming streets and stores, delicious pizzeria, an amazing leather market and the most incredible dinner in Florence that I will recommend to all of my clients traveling to Florence. What’s a hidden gem or experience you discovered while traveling?

Travel has always been food for my soul and mind. Travel has broadened every aspect of my life. As a child, my parents made sure that we traveled and experienced the world. My most fond childhood memories come from travel. I remember seeing robots painting pictures at the 1982 World’s Fair; being amazed by the Aztec pyramids in Mexico after reading about them in National Geographic; and I can still smell those fresh beignets at Café du Monde in New Orleans. As an adult, travel continues to be an important aspect of my life. My husband and I love to travel, especially with our boys, family and friends. One of the greatest joys in my life is sharing my love of travel with others. Being a travel advisor with Destination Fun Travel allows me the privilege of sharing my passion for travel with others and assisting them with all their travel needs.
