After almost two years of border closures, tourists can now enter.

All you need to enter Vietnam:
1. A certified negative COVID-19 test.*
2. Make an online health declaration before entry and download the PC-COVID app.
3. Have medical or travel insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment with a minimum liability of US$10,000.
4. Obtain a valid visa (Belarus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and the UK are exempt).
For other citizens the easiest way is to apply for an e-Visa—also referred to as a “visa on arrival”—online. To apply, you’ll need a 2 x 2-inch jpeg photo and pay a $25 fee. The visa is valid for single-entry stays up to 30 days. It can take three days to process.
* Options are an RT-PCR/RT-LAMP test administered within 72 hours of arriving or a certified rapid test taken within 24 hours of departure. Children under two are exempt.
