YOU SHOULD MEET HIM BEFORE HE LOSES POWER
This is one of Africa's greatest, longest reigning lion kings. King Sekekama of the Savuti Marsh pride, Sekoti's father. The guides named him Sexghaxghama, which means a lion mane in Seyei, to differentiate it from his four brothers after they violently took over the Savuti. The other three brothers reportedly later moved to the Khwai area leaving Sekekama and his brother Torn Nose. The name changed to Sekekama through Charles Dance's narration in the documentary Savage Kingdom. Sexgha, as the guides affectionately call him, is now old and reaching a dangerous phase in life. Many say his iron grip on power over Savuti is now fragile. But make no mistake about it, this is a raw wild powerful force. A legendary lion that you must meet before it is possibly dethroned. He is now a proud ruler of a pride of about 22 lions and a granddad of the Northern pride. His biggest and realest threat comes from his son, Sekoti.
