Woohoo, it’s taken a while but we have our new website live. For many reasons we haven’t started taking bookings for this year yet but now we can. Looking forward to meeting new people and seeing some familiar faces. Take a look at the website and tell us what you think.

Bridoré chateau is just a 5 minute drive away. It is open afternoons in July and August and at other times by appointment. Well worth a visit.

At last Belle is on street view! I have dropped a pin beside the house so if you look us up you can see exactly where we are. Belle is number 21 and we live around the corner at number 14. Enjoy exploring!

We have started taking bookings for 2022, it’s already looking like it might be a busy year. Hopefully there will be no restrictions next year. We are excited to be getting a new website and can’t wait for it to be finished. Wonderful news that two new baby pandas have been born at our local zoo!

FA-BU-LEUX ! 2 nouveaux bébés panda sont nés au ZooParc de Beauval !!! 🐼🐼😍
C’est avec une joie immense que nous vous annonçons la naissance cette nuit, peu après 1 heure du matin, de 2 jolis petits pandas ! Ils semblent en pleine forme. Huan Huan, leur maman s’en occupe à merveille, presque 4 ans après la naissance de Yuan Meng, son 1er bébé.

Over the summer of 2006 we had a new roof. We took all the tiles off, cleaning up the good ones and saving them. The battens were all replaced and then we had new tiles on the back and put the old, clean tiles back on the front. A new dormer was also created for bedroom 3. The kids and I laboured all summer for the roofers. Not a summer will forget in a hurry!

It took quite a long time to decide what to do about the large barn door at the end of the property. We had to apply for change of use as this part of the building had been agricultural. One of the many reasons it took so long to start work on this bit.

Hurrah, Le Tour 2021 route has been announced and it is passing close to La Belle. Not sure of the exact route yet but 1st July is the day. Watching Le Tour is a great day out. All the towns and villages passed through get involved with events and parties. The Caravanne arrives a couple of hours before the cyclists and gives loads of entertainment and free goodies! We can’t wait!
So secure your week at Belle with just a £50 deposit and enjoy a day at Le Tour yourself!

We have just updated the prices for next summer. The prices will stay the same as 2020 and for your added security and peace of mind, we will hold any week for just £50 deposit. This can be fully transferred to a later date if the holiday can’t go ahead as planned. We have everything crossed that by next summer we can all enjoy our holidays as near to normal as possible. We are grateful to the three families who did manage to take their holiday during the short window that was available to them over the summer. It was lovely to see returning guests and to meet new ones.
We are looking forward to welcoming more guests to La Belle Lochoise in 2021.

We are ready in France to welcome our first British guests of the year. There is still a week available at the end of August and all of September and October. The autumn is lovely here in the Loire. Get in touch for more information.

The house is all ready to welcome our first guests of the summer. A little later than planned but hopefully the first of many this summer. There is still a week left at the end of August and the autumn is still free.

France is beginning to open up and soon we will be able to accept visitors again. All being well we still have vacancies from the middle of August and through September and October. The Loire is beautiful in the autumn with light evenings and often warm days. Get in touch if you are interested. We are accepting bookings with a small deposit of £50 per person that can be carried over to next year if the holiday can’t take place this year.

We can’t wait until we are able to have holidays again. Unfortunately we don’t know when that will be. For the time being we are not taking any more bookings for this year. We are in the U.K. and need to be able to go to France safely to allow us to check on the house and give it a deep clean before it can be ready for any guests. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we can get back to normal and we really hope that the bookings already taken for later in the year can go ahead. If they have to be cancelled any deposit already paid can be used towards a holiday next year. In the meantime we are accepting bookings for 2021 at the same price as this year and offering a 10% discount for all NHS workers.
