Our story
Black Mountain tours are now preparing to launch operations in Montenegro, on the Adriatic coast. Whether a solo traveler, a couple, or a group, we can organise variable length stays in a range of carefully selected boutique hotels, with private excursions to some of the most beautiful venues in Europe, including discounted entry to some of the finest vineyards in the world. These are not ‘package holiday’s - they are private semi-escorted tours tailored to the needs of each cohort.
Now that all sounds very familiar I guess, lots of private tour operators probably say much the same. So what makes us different? Well, here's 'the thing'. I travel a lot in the Balkans and whenever I am in Montenegro (or in the Dubrovnik area - particularly the Pelješac peninsular - we’ll be expanding there later) - I feel happy, I feel like I found a place where I belong. I want for other people to see what I see. I want them to go where I went, and enjoy the things that I enjoyed. I want them to find things that I missed - and tell me so I can go and see them for myself. I want them to sit on that terrace and watch the sea while eating strawberries and ice-cream. I want them to sit by the lake shore with a glass of wine and enjoy the sun. I want people to share the sheer joy that I experience - and that’s how the idea for Black Mountain tours began. I wanted to bring other people there to show them, I think the experience will make other people happy too - and I’d like to be a part of making that happen. So, that's 'the thing'.
