Hola to Everyone and Welcome to The Blue Ox Hotel Investment Campaign
When I moved to Nicaragua in July 2017, I did so with a purpose. I had a dream that had been brewing for years. It was simple at first – to find the perfect piece of land and build a simple, yet perfect, little hotel. Of course, nothing is simple when turning dreams into reality. Yet, day by day, step by step, the groundwork has been done. Now it’s time to approach the most critical task to date – funding.

The Blue Ox Hotel Project is now seeking investors to truly bring this dream to life.

The project goal is set to raise $500,000 in investment capital for land acquisition, construction, and initial operations.
The investment market in Nicaragua’s tourism industry is reaching a sweet-spot between start-up costs, growth of infrastructure, and a steady rise in tourism. Despite being the poorest country in Central America, Nicaragua has been making its mark on the map over the past few years as one of the best travel destinations in the world. In particular, the southern beach town of San Juan del Sur and the surrounding areas are booming with constant and considerable growth. A decade ago, it was still a small fishing community, but now has become one of the hottest “must see” regions of Central America. The Blue Ox Hotel will be positioned to make the most of this surge in popularity and prosperity.
As they say, the iron is hot and now is the time to make this investment. Real-estate values are rising annually while properties in prime locations are selling out. Nicaragua’s stable and growing economy, generous tax incentives, and substantial legal protections for foreign-owned businesses increasingly provide a favorable climate for foreign investors.
To say the least, Nicaragua is no longer the country it was more than three decades ago. It is currently ranked as the safest country in Central America, according to the World Economic Forum, with one of the lowest crime and theft rates in the western hemisphere. Another WEF report ranks Nicaragua in the top ten for gender equality, with the United States at 45th. If that weren’t enough, the country is also ahead of the curve on clean energy production, with goals to attain 90% of it’s energy from renewable sources by 2020.
With the volatility of the stock market, it’s no wonder many are searching for more stable investments with generous returns.
