Happy Valentine’s Day! Today we celebrate love and friendship and I want to take a moment to recognize the amazing women in my life, both near and far.

Friendship, especially among women is a beautiful thing. Through social media, travel and chance encounters, I have been blessed to form connections with women from all over the world.

These friendships have taught me so much about different cultures, traditions and ways of life. They have broadened my perspective and enriched my life in countless ways. But more than that, they have shown me the power of women supporting each other, no matter where they come from or what they believe in.

As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, remember to lift each other up and show our love and appreciation for the incredible people in our lives.

So to all my amazing friends out there, thank you for being a part of my life and for showing me the true meaning of friendship.

I ❤️ you & appreciate you 🥰

Happy Valentine’s Day and here’s to many more years of laughter, love, and friendship.

Time to put our memories from the summer in our travel journal. 🤗🤗 I hope you all enjoyed your summer travels just as much as I did! WE (especially ME) were outside all summer. I know there were several people I didn’t get to see and some places I didn’t get to go, that’s how far into the out I was 😂.
I absolutely love stickers and scrapbook paper so I took a trip to Hobby Lobby to grab a few items that I’ll use to make my travel activity journal my own.
Thanks to everyone who’s supported by purchasing a copy or a few, sharing my link, leaving a review, and sharing with your family & friends, I truly appreciate your support. 🥰
Share with me how you have used your copy of Anywhere. Somewhere. Far Away. (available for purchase on Amazon)

It’s time for a good ole NOLA seafood boil! In all my years this was my first time in The Big Easy enjoying the city local style.

Well folks, it’s that time of year again. School is starting (not for me yet) and I know we have so many emotions as we prepare to welcome the kids to our campuses.
🍎
I’m dedicating this post to the New teachers 👩🏽‍🏫 Welcome to my page and the Wonderful World of Education. I’ve seen so many teachers decking the halls of their classrooms and I’m becoming overwhelmed, so I can only imagine how you new teachers are feeling. Having been in the profession for 9 years trust me when I say these classroom transformations get expensive. Teacher friends your paycheck is for YOU… let me repeat that for those who missed it… 🗣YOUR PAYCHECK IS FOR YOU! It is not a requirement that you spend your money or time turning your classroom into the ocean or the rainforest or a broadway production. You are not less effective or less dedicated for not doing any of this either.
🍏
Plain and simple, what matters most is creating a community and safe space where children can learn and feel they are valued. I too was once one of those teachers that felt the need to deck out my classroom but as I became more experienced I learned that me transforming my classroom was not about what I put on my walls but the knowledge and love I poured into my students.
🍎
Don’t get me wrong I LOVE buying school supplies, for MYSELF. I start each year with a new planner, colorful pens and markers, a work bag, and a cup (I spare no expense either). As a new teacher or a returning teacher trying to figure it all out, use this video as a guide to get yourself started with the essentials. I always make sure I stock my room with things I need to get through each day whether students are present or not.
🍏
Take a minute to breathe 🧘🏽‍♀️and mentally prepare yourself to welcome the fresh minds that will soon enter your classroom. Don’t make any more trips to Walmart or Amazon 👀.
🍏🍎🍏
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year & Happy Teaching!

I absolutely love a museum day. Time at a museum or a cultural experience is a must on my itinerary.
My trip to Dallas almost didn’t happen but it did and I’m so grateful! I had the best time chilling with my cousins.
The Language of Beauty in African Art was amazing. I have seen some of the pieces in pictures but to see them in person was everything. The African continent is rich in beauty and culture, I’m always amazed at how they created such intricate details without all the advanced tools available today.
The exhibit has moved on now but if you can, check it out in a city near you.

I love all things pink! I went through a phase as a child where I didn’t want to like the color pink because it was so cliché. So I decided my favorite color was purple instead, it’s clearly pink adjacent.
😉
Did you know that pink isn’t actually a color?! It doesn’t exist on it’s own naturally, it needs a little help to come alive. I embody the color pink because I have been uniquely created to boldly exist in this time and space. ✨ Be Pink!

A raw unfiltered photo of me in the current moment. I’ve been working on my new space and it’s beginning to feel like home. I enjoy my peace and quiet but sometimes this space is too quiet. It makes me miss the days when I lived with my family… there was always something going on and in those days I had to steal moments to myself and find quiet amongst the city life, the irony 🤷🏽‍♀️.

I have made peace with the woman in the mirror.

I wish her a lifetime of joy, happiness, safe travels, continued peace, rest, abundance and love.

If you had told me I was going to move across the globe and I would find a family like this, I wouldn’t have believed it. I’m so grateful for such a phenomenal group of women. Together we have laughed, cried, worked, vacationed, partied, endured a pandemic, a lockdown and shared many moments in between.
I always miss my family and friends in the U.S.A. and having my extended family in Kuwait has allowed me to create new traditions of our own.
Today I remember and celebrate how truly blessed I am.

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Lao Tzu

The journey has not been as easy as the IG photos always make it seem. Life until this very moment has taught me many lessons about myself, relationships, and everything in between. I’ve walked by faith, sometimes only the size of a mustard seed, many days and I never let fear control me.

I’m over the moon with excitement as I celebrate this moment of being featured in
