Last Saturday, we spent another day on the peninsular route. The Lady Lighthouse leg took us along Noordhoek beach, passing by the Wreck of Kakapo, into Kommetjie to see the Slangkop lighthouse, and finally ended up in Scarborough.

This 18km walk certainly was a challenge, but the scenery along the way and, of course the company, made it totally worth it .

Johannesburg we are finally coming your way!!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Join us for a leisurely walk through Nirox Sculpture Park in Krugersdorp on April the 17th.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Come and admire the incredible artwork whilst mingling with new faces, and finally, ending it off with a delicious tapas-style lunch and drinks at the restaurant ‘…and then there was fire’.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This exceptional park is set in 15 magnificent hectares that form part of an extensive nature reserve in the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site. To see all the artworks you may need to walk about 5kms, so comfortable shoes are necessary. We have allocated two hours for us to wander around and our lunch is booked for 2 pm.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
COST:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
R150 will secure your place. This will cover the entrance fee for the Park and our GT Meetup Fee. NB: This does not include any food or drinks at lunch.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
TRANSPORT:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let us know if you require transport to the venue and we will try to link you up with another attendee coming from a similar area. We are also able to organise a joint shuttle if enough members request one. This will, however, be an additional cost.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
JOIN US:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Secure your place by registering and paying the R150 using the link in our Bio. The spaces for this meetup are quite limited so hurry!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We’re BACK🎉 ! Our first meetup of 2021 is happening THIS SUNDAY🌏. We have missed you guys and could not wait any longer to reunite. For our first meetup we’ll get outside to enjoy the beautiful weather, and of course, our amazing city🌞. We’ll be walking the second leg of the Cape Camino () Peninsula Route - The Whale Tale’s Leg

In early December 2020, we completed the Wine2Water leg from Constantia to Kalk Bay. This Sunday, we’ll be walking from Muizenburg to Simon’s Town leg. This route takes us along the magnificent peninsula coast, passing iconic spaces including the St James walkway, and one of South Africa’s trendiest suburbs Kalk Bay. You are welcome to grab a coffee and breakfast along the way in one of the many cafes.

We’ll then head up the Trappieskop mountain pathway to get to the quaint little town of Fish Hoek. After making our way through this town, we’ll continue along the coast to the historically rich and beautiful village of Simon’s town, which will be our final stop for the day. Once in Simon’s town, you have the opportunity to get refreshments or lunch before heading to Boulders beach, where we’ll relax and enjoy the beautiful sun, beach, and possibly penguins, before cabbing back to our starting point in Muizenburg.

This little adventure is about 16KM, and you are invited to do it at your own pace, whilst taking in the beautiful scenery on the way.

If you have previously been to a Global Tribe meetup, all that you have to do is RSVP in our DM’s. If you have never been to a Global Tribe Meetup, please register using the link for the event in our Bio.

Don’t forget your mask! We’ll bring the sanitiser.
The spaces for this meetup are quite limited so hurry and secure your place!

Black Friday WEEKEND DEAL - R25 off

Ever wanted to walk the Camino?
Well next Saturday, we’ll be walking one of the legs of the Cape Camino Peninsula Route. The Cape Camino ( ) was inspired by the Camino de Santiago, an 800km pilgrimage across Spain.

The Wine2Water Leg from Constantia to Kalk Bay, starts at the Catholic Shrine at Schoenstatt Retreat. This route guides us through the picturesque Constantia Winelands, eventually exiting on the north side of the Tokai forest. We’ll then make our way towards the the Muizenberg mountains, and onto Boyes drive, which will finally take us to the charming beach town of Kalk Bay.

This little adventure is about 16KM, and you are invited to do it at your own pace, whilst taking in the beautiful scenery on the way.
Once in Kalk Bay, we’ll make our way to Cape To Cuba, where you are welcome to grab some food and drinks before Ubering back to your car in Constantia.

If you want to learn more about what the Camino is, will be able to tell you all about his personal experience walking the Camino de Santiago along the way.

Don’t forget your mask! We’ll bring the sanitiser, water and some small snacks. The spaces for this meetup are quite limited so hurry and secure your place! Link in Bio

The announcement of our First Meetup in November is HERE.
We’re so excited to reconnect with our Cape Town GT Family, and of course, to meet some new faces too! We thought that wine tasting and a picnic-style lunch would be the perfect way to catch up, relax and spend our Saturday afternoon.

Steenberg Wine Farm is located in the Constantia Valley and is home to world class wines, picturesque views, and delicious food.

Our afternoon will start with tasting some of the finest wines or bubbly from Steenberg. You’ll be able to choose from 3 different tastings: The Classic tasting, the Bubbly tasting, or the Flagship tasting.

After having a little wine and bubbly, we’ll grab our Al Fresco Lunch picnic baskets and head to the lawns for a lovely relaxing afternoon in the sun (we hope).
Should the weather be unfavourable on the day, we will be accommodated in either the Cuvée or Ruby Room in the Tryn restaurant.

Welcome to a new month

For most, November is the last full month of actual work, before the festive season kicks in. In an attempt to maximise our time and utilise the privilege of working remotely, we set off on a road trip across parts of the Western and Eastern Cape.

Our trip so far has been nothing short of amazing - we have been inspired to concur new things, had a surge of new ideas, and almost immediately felt more energized.

In less than one week, we’ve lived on a farm, lived in the mountains, and currently on the seaside. We’ve been on multiple morning hikes, experienced delicious local cuisines, been wine tasting, discovered some hidden gems, whilst still maintaining our normal workdays online.

We of course can’t wait to reunite with our tribe later in the month, so keep an eye out for new meetup announcements coming this week.
