Following the first snows of the season, there's been another burst of interest with our winter skills courses.
These are designed to give you the skill set required for heading out into the mountains independently during winter time; looking at personal equipment and movement skills, navigation, decision making, avalanche awareness, using crampons and ice axes and generally understanding the winter environment better.
These skills underpin everything you might want to do in the mountains whether it's walking, climbing or skiing.

What a beautiful shot, congratulations Rod on finally getting it!!

I have been wanting to get this shot for several years now as every time I have driven away from Seacliff Beach I have seen this in the rear view mirror but I have always said I'll stop next time.

I was lucky to take this before the leaves start to grow in and obscure the view of the Bass Rock.

That's it then! All over for another 11years! So in lieu of us actually being to able to witness todays breathtaking solar eclipse, here's our lesson on 'full moon', 'half moon' and 'total eclipse'! My pinhole projector was swiftly replaced by a box of Jaffa Cakes! :-)
