Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Sunday 13 November 2016 at the RCAFA Wing 424 in Cornwall in support of the cadets travelling to Vimy Ridge in April 2017 to be part of the 100th anniversary commemoration of the battle. Tickets are $10 an adult, $5 for 5-12 year olds, Under 5 is free. See a traveller for tickets, or at the door. Gluten free and vegetarian available upon request.

Tench is an invasive fish native to Europe & western Asia. Tench were brought to a Quebec fish farm illegally in 1986 and escaped into the Richelieu River, a tributary of the St. Lawrence. The fish could enter Ontario waters if it spreads into the St. Lawrence. It could also be mistaken for some bait fish species and brought to Ontario as live bait.

It was a team effort that landed this catch-and-release 35 and a half lb. sturgeon in the Cornwall Harbour, thanks to J.R. and Adam Jr. Lauzon who helped to find bait (fallfish) for their dad Adam Lauzon, on Monday.

...impromptu outing with my boys last evening. It was a team effort, the boys rustled-up the bait that produced... 33", 7lb 2oz... Will fit nicely in Jeffry's smoker :D!!

Angler's Guide: Toilet handle replacement.

Required tackle: Rapala rattlin'-rap, 5/8oz bell sinker (with swivel), owner forged steel octopus hook, 80lb Seagar 100% fluorocarbon leader material, knowledge of naval knots.

1. tie octopus hook to leader... i used the bowline knot due to not having a crimper on hand... the diameter of the leader material is too large for a traditional terminal knot.

2. pierce the remaining piece of the flapper with your octopus hook being sure to push it through past the barb.

3. slide the leader through the eyelet of the 5/8oz bell sinker allowing it to rest on top of the flapper... this acts as a counter weight to the handle.

4. feed the leader through the hole in the tank previously occupied the broken handle.

5. after removing the hooks from the rattlin'-rap (any pattern will do), tie the leader to the eyelet as you would normally when smashing smallies... again i chose the bowline.

6. enjoy not having to remove the tank lid to flush your toilet.

Hey, y'all... we DO really appreciate the feedback we've received... i'll address the questions here so that everyone understands:

1. we don't have a website, only this page... websites are costly and less effective than Facebook... (i know because at one time i built websites as part of my IT consulting business... all my clients now use social media only... try this, go to google type 'cornwall fishing guide', see who comes up first... cost: 0$)

2. i don't list my full address, only my postal code... this is a home based business, don't show up at my door :P lol.

3. i do not have a set price... price is variable for each client and each outing... i've gone out with clients for as little as $100, and i've charged up to a $1000 for larger families requiring me to rent a pontoon... i will accommodate every and any situation accordingly... if you don't ask, i can't help you ;)

4. we are in fact the number one guide service in the area, i just didn't want to say it myself, i'm quite modest... ok, i just made that one up.

Had my new friend Kyle and his boys, Chase and Tag, join me and my boys for some harbour action... Saw a couple of sturgeon breach, but no takers... Got some late morning bites after a very early start... Catch of the day was this 2.5lb smallie caught by Chase, our mvf of the day. Thanks for coming out guys!
