In the travel industry. I have so many people asking me. Should I cancel my Trip in June, July, August, December etc.... I get a lot of CDC updates and other information from around the world passed through my email daily to update and educate us. Read this article through my other Monday to Friday job and this article broken down makes sense to me. Good read I think. Media can do a lot to scare us not giving us all the facts, people wearing masks visually makes us scared.I am definitely not a medical Dr but it all makes sense to me...Practice what we are taught when we are sick ourselves to avoid spreading germs. 1) NO HANDSHAKING! Smile, it goes a long way! If someone goes to shake your hand apologize say I've been fighting something. They will understand.
2) Use disinfectant wipes at the stores when they are available, including wiping the handle and child seat in grocery carts. Or carry some with you. Sadly, I do :)
3) Use ONLY your knuckle to touch light switches. elevator buttons, etc.. Lift the gasoline dispenser with a paper towel.
4) Open doors with your closed fist or hip, the inside of your jacket - do not grasp the handle with your hand. Especially important on bathroom and commercial doors.
5) Wash your hands with soap and warm water for 10-20 seconds and/or use a greater than 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer. When you return home from ANY activity that involves public locations wash wash wash.
6) Keep a bottle of 60% sanitizer available in your car/bag for use after getting gas or touching other contaminated objects when you can't immediately wash your hands.
7) If possible, cough or sneeze into a disposable tissue and discard, or use your elbow only if you have to. Though we are told best to sneeze into our elbow, I read the clothing on your elbow will contain infectious virus that can be passed on for up to a week or more!
8) We touch our faces with our hands more than you think. Be conscious of keeping your hands away from your mouth and nose areas, facial areas.
9) We place our cell phones down everywhere. Wipe them down at the end of the day with a sanitary wipe or with a warm soapy cloth.

And we’re largely ignoring it
