for rafting, we recommend the following rivers: voidomatis, arachthos, evinos, venetikos, aliakmonas, tavropos. ⁣

for canyoning, we recommend: vikaki (zagori), spileo (grevena), lousios (arcadia), viniani (evrytania) and kalypso (kissavos).⁣
⁣
the photo above is from voidomatis river, in the northwestern part of greece and it is one of the easiest ones to descend — would totally recommend for beginners or if you would like a relaxed rafting experience. ⁣

so this is monemvasia and its breathtaking light.⁣

monemvasia means only [mone] entrance [emvasis] and this refers to the only access point to the island which is over a bridge — at the edge of a big rock by the sea, this medieval tower town is on the south-east cost of the peloponnese.⁣
⁣
founded by the byzantines in the 6th century, the so-called ‘Gibraltar of the East’, has been occupied by the Byzantines, the Crusaders, the Venetians, and the Turks.⁣
⁣
a journey through time with amazing culinary delights and walks around the castle, this medieval gem will be an experience you’ll cherish | ps. they say that it is one of the most romantic places in the country and I can totally see why. if you are looking for an alternative long weekend in a not so touristy part of greece this time of year, this might be it!⁣
