The pages on the Pedal Portugal website have had a quick shuffle to reflect the fact that we're not currently operating our guided tours.
I've left the information about them up in case anyone wants to use the itineraries for reference but they're much less obvious.

Now, the site's two main sections are:

RESOURCES - containing various bits of useful information about the country and listings for everything from campsites to bike shops.
ROUTES - suggestions for day rides, touring routes and the guided tours we've run in the past.

We haven't stopped running tours because anything bad has happened to us, simply that life has become busier and more complicated back in the UK.
We're still having fun...and hope to be back in Portugal again sometime soon, whether running a tour or just cycling for our own pleasure.

What do you think are the most important things to have in a general guide book on cycling in Portugal?
I started the project a few years ago and then shelved it when other things took over. This time, however, I'm determined to keep going.
There's already a lot of material on the Pedal Portugal website https://pedalportugal.com/
But I'd love to know if there's anything missing? What's essential? What's desirable? What might be interesting but isn't that important?

25 YEARS!
This is why we're not doing any bike tours of Portugal at the moment. Too busy celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and having fun exploring the Balkans (with not a bike in sight).

Pedal Portugal runs guided bike tours and provides free advice for visiting cyclists.

We design and run our own guided tours, taking small groups (maximum 10 riders) on back roads across several different regions of Portugal, exploring the country’s wonderful scenery and history - and building up a healthy appetite to appreciate a hearty meal and a glass or three of wine.
