Sports Trainer Advisor Visit SportsTrainerAdvisor.com to find the best trainers and coaches across all youth sports. You can also follow us on Twitter:

Sports Trainer Advisor exists to connect youth athletes and their parents with trainers, training facilities, and other resources to help the athlete achieve their personal best at the sport of choice. At Sports Trainer Advisor we know finding a trusted trainer for your youth athlete can be a daunting task with many considerations. Youth are susceptible to over-use injuries, trainers are expensive

, and developing next-level athletic skills is extremely time-consuming. Consequently, you don't want to spend precious time and money with a trainer who is not a good fit for your youth athlete. Many trainers are independent, and spending most of their time with students, often lack time or resources to effectively market themselves and reach prospective youths. Likewise, training facilities also often have limited marketing resources. Further, trainer and facility information that is available online is often inconsistent, making it difficult for parents to adequately compare them. To close this information gap, Sports Trainer Advisor collects consistent trainer and facility profiles to help parents compare and find the trainer with the best fit for their young athlete. In addition we provide training tips and insights from professional trainers and pediatricians specializing in youth sports medicine. We aim to provide you with the information you need to help your youth athlete reach their training goals. If there's a particular topic you'd like to see more information on, or have any other feedback about this page or our website, we'd love to hear from you!

Youth football organizations are changing their rules around tackling, or are switching to flag football altogether. A few local and state governments are even considering enacting legislation to ban or modify youth tackle football. Will the changes have tangible impacts, or are the changes in the same vein of overprotection as doing away with monkey bars and making parents sign waivers for their kids to play in the dirt at recess? Share your thoughts here. http://www.tampabay.com/opinion/editorials/editorial-smart-changes-for-youth-football/2312011

With participation in youth football declining because of safety concerns, leaders of the sport's governing body have announced well-considered changes to the way the game can be played that make it safer for kids.
