We had to stop on the way back from Fairbanks this week and take photos of the Northern Lights. They weren't the best, but it's like visiting old friends. We just stopped and admired. Everyone gets quiet and respectful when viewing. I love it when stars show through.

This was last night's Northern Lights show about 3:30 am. It was good, but not the best. I have to wonder if this will be the last time we see Northern Lights from our lawns in Healy until August 17th, which is the earliest time for my seeing Auroras in the fall. A full moon, clouds and early morning light in the summer interfere with our ability to see them clearly for the next several months.

In all kinds of weather, moose and the Alaska Railroad keep running. We are soon to leave these dark cold days and come into spring. Consider a trip on the AA RR next winter to see the Interior of Alaska in the off season. We do have some beautiful, quiet days and nights with Northern Lights too. Here is one of the cold days.

We collected one of our new cars for Keys to Denali, car rentals, at the beginning of this year. The first photo is how our new car looked in the sunset on the highway heading north. The second photo was take on the Alaskan Highway. We are getting ready for a busy 2022. We suggest you reserve early.

We haven't had many moose in the yard due to the high snows. I look forward to their return.
