Headed out for a great ride today! Medicine Park, OK was the destination. Cool little town on Lake Lawtonka. Rode through the Wichita Mountains Wildlife refuge and up Mount Scott. The views were amazing! Saw wild Bison, Longhorn cattle, prairie dogs and deer.

So, on my last day in my 50's, I got the pleasure of going to the Bracken Cave Preserve just outside San Antonio to see an amazing spectacle! Every night millions of Mexican split tail bats leave this cave in search for food. They fly close to 60 miles to eat moths and insects on farm fields. And sometimes 10,000 feet high. It can take 3 to 4 hours for all the bats to leave the cave.

Caught up with some U.S. Navy shipmates and friends, which was great, and had the opportunity to see some family as well.

Looking forward to seeing what this next month brings!!!
