Why are Cape Townians so laid back? 😉 Must be something to do wanting to spend more time appreciating what we have 🙌

Some travel to Cape Town from the calming blue sea and sandy beach views. But we think the more rugged and unusual landscapes are the true stars of this unmatchable corner of the world. 😋❤️

Putting my new drone skills to the test 😝🥰
I hope you have all been enjoying the new camera angles we’ve been dishing up of our villas and Cape Town. It’s not easy learning a new technical skill when you are running a full business, but this has to be the most rewarding challenge so far!
I mean…the views were great before but capturing moments like this…❤️ And if you’ve been to Cape Town, you know the wind does not give drones a break!

A Local’s Guide to Camps Bay ✨🥰
Camps Bay is more than just a postcard-perfect beach; it’s a lifestyle. A majority of Levalux’s villas are located in ‘hood and I have the privilege of living here as well.
Here’s a local’s take on the best things to do in this stunning suburb:
⛰️ Embrace the Outdoors: Start your day with a challenging hike up the iconic Twelve Apostles for breathtaking views.
🌊 Refresh and Recharge: Cool down with a refreshing dip at the Camps Bay tidal pool or Bakoven Beta beach.
🎾 Active Lifestyle: Don’t miss the opportunity to play a game of padel tennis, a growing local craze. I recommend the court at Maiden’s Cove for its stunning ocean views.
🍳 Breakfast Bliss: Manna is a classic for a reason. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast on their terrace, soaking up the morning sun. But don’t limit yourself explore the hidden gems along Victoria Road for unique breakfast spots.
🏖️ Beach Days and Beyond: Camps Bay beach is an obvious choice, but venture towards Clifton for a quieter, more secluded atmosphere. Pack a picnic, grab a good book, and relax.
🍸 Sunset Aperitifs: As the day winds down, head to one of the many rooftop bars or beachfront restaurants for sundowners. The Observatory Hotel offers a spectacular view, while the Camps Bay Retreat is a more relaxed option.
🍝 Dining Delights: Camps Bay boasts a diverse culinary scene. Indulge in fresh seafood at Codfather, savour Italian cuisine at Primi Piatti, or treat yourself to a steak at The Hussar Grill.
🚗 Explore Beyond: Pop over the mountain to the city for a change of scenery, or take a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard. Easily travel further afield to Llandudno and Hout Bay.
Let me know if you’d like me to share any more on the area or any other neighbourhoods of Cape Town ❤️

Did you know that Cape Town is an elite surfing hotspot? 🏄♂️
Yep! Our low-pressure systems in the Southern Atlantic send powerful, consistent swells to Cape Town's west-facing beaches, creating thrilling waves perfect for experienced surfers. With fewer tourists in winter, you can enjoy uncrowded breaks and epic waves.
🏄♂️ Prime Spots for Winter Surfers:
🌊 Dungeons: Arguably the most challenging and dangerous big wave spot in South Africa, Dungeons comes alive during winter with monstrous right-hand reef breaks. This spot is for the absolute elite – only attempt it if you're an incredibly experienced big wave surfer with a support crew and all necessary safety precautions in place.
🌊 Llandudno: This world-renowned spot offers challenging right-hand point breaks, ideal for experienced surfers during winter swells (less extreme than Dungeons).
🌊 Long Beach: This long stretch of beach offers powerful waves that can be ridden by both intermediate and advanced surfers depending on the specific section and conditions.
🌊 Big Bay: A popular spot with a variety of breaks, Big Bay can offer challenging waves for experienced surfers during winter swells. Be sure to check conditions and choose your break wisely based on your skill level.
If you are more of a gentle wave/beginner surfer, our tempestuous weather begins to calm towards the summer. So whatever the season, Cape Town is ideal for surfers on all levels and a great destination to consider for your next surfing holiday. 🏄🏻

Need to really relax? 😌 If you’re in Cape Town, a visit to Babylonstoren Spa is a must.
This serene spot, nestled in a historic farm just outside Franschhoek, is the perfect escape from the city hustle.
After a relaxing massage, soaking in the jacuzzi by the stunning pool area is my highlight. It’s the best way to shake off the winter chill and feel completely rejuvenated.
Luxurious treatments, beautiful surroundings, and rated in the top 5 spas in Cape Town. With only a 40-minute drive out of Cape Town, Babylonstoren is at the top of our list for an indulgent treat or a blissful weekend getaway.
The best part? I can personally say that you will have a lovely time 😉
Are you surprised? 🥰 We’ve been having the most incredible weather recently and have taken full advantage of it.
That's not to say that Cape Town doesn’t have its fair share of downpours and cold days, but we are blessed with such a mild winter that most people from the Northern Hemisphere would think it's summer 😅
Would you visit Cape Town in June with weather like this?!
