The highlight of today was an hour long sail from Palma where we were able to witness stunning coastal views, including picturesque beaches, rocky cliffs, and some historic landmarks such as Bellver Castle and Palma Cathedral. We also enjoyef the sight of sailboats and yachts dotting the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea, with the backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains adding to the scenic beauty.
Oh well tomorrow is hometime but The Jolly Traveller will be back travelling again soon.

Today was a trip to the village of Valldemossa. Valldemossa is a picturesque village located in the Tramuntana mountain range on the island of Mallorca, Spain. Today we visited Soller. Soller is a picturesque town located on the northwest coast of Mallorca, one of the Balearic Islands of Spain. It is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, including the surrounding Tramuntana mountains and the nearby Port de Soller, a charming seaside village. Soller is famous for its historical architecture, including the Modernist style buildings, such as the church of Sant Bartomeu and the Banco de Sóller.

Visitors to Soller can enjoy exploring its narrow streets lined with cafes, boutiques, and galleries. The town is also known for its citrus groves and olive orchards, producing delicious local products like orange marmalade and olive oil.

One of the most popular attractions in Soller is the vintage wooden train that connects the town to Palma, offering scenic views along the journey through the mountains. Additionally, visitors can take a tram from Soller to Port de Soller to enjoy the beautiful beach, harbor, and waterfront promenade.

Today was a visit to Poble Espanyol de Mallorca, also known as the Spanish Village of Mallorca, is an architectural complex located in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Similar to its counterpart in Barcelona, it showcases replicas of buildings from different regions of Spain, representing various architectural styles and cultural heritage. Visitors can explore the village, enjoying its squares, streets, and buildings, which often house shops, restaurants, and artisan workshops. Poble Espanyol de Mallorca provides an immersive experience into the diversity of Spanish culture without having to travel across the country. it's well worth a visit if, like me, you enjoy the old Spanish architecture and culture. Only thing this early in the season is it's quiet and slightly lacking in atmosphere. We then enjoyed sitting in the sun by the pool at our hotel with a great view of Palma Cathedral.

Day 1 in Palma started with a visit to the stunning Gothic cathedral overlooking the sea. Marvel at its intricate architecture and take in panoramic views of the city from its rooftop.

Then we had an afternoon wander through the narrow streets of the Old Town, stopping to admire historic landmarks such as the Almudaina Palace and the Arab Baths. Don't miss the opportunity to browse the boutiques and artisan shops for unique souvenirs.
