One of my favorite stops in Willamette Valley was Ponzi Vineyards 🍷

Beautiful tasting room and grounds, relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere, and wonderful wine!

Although Willamette Valley is known for Pinots, we really enjoyed the Anniversary Chardonnay Reserve at Ponzi!

If you plan to visit Willamette Valley, it’s a quick 35-50 minute drive (depending on which vineyards you go to) from Portland, Oregon, or you can stay at the Allison Inn & Spa, a lovely nearby resort.

The first stop on our trip to Turks & Caicos was Ambergris Cay, a private residential island located within the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The island is home to the native Turks and Caicos Rock Iguana, which is critically endangered. The Iguanas can be found all over the island, even hanging out next to you while you sunbathe or eat lunch! We really enjoyed seeing them during our stay.

Each villa at Ambergris features ocean view or ocean front vistas, and includes:
- complimentary golf carts to explore the island
- butler service
- daily housekeeping
- ALL-INCLUSIVE meals and premium drinks
- free WiFi
- all the included activities that Ambergris Cay has to offer
- Complimentary round-trip air transfers are provided as well for all villa guests from Providenciales International Airport (PLS) for the 18-minute flight to the private airport.

When we arrived we were greeted by our butler with champagne and then followed him in our golf cart to lunch. After lunch we carted over to our private villa and our butler, Orlando, went over the activities he had planned for us during our stay (snorkeling, reef fishing, sunset cruise).

The room was STUNNING and the view was incredible! The room was even better in person than the pictures. We also toured a 3-bedroom villa while we were there and it was just as beautifully designed. Each bedroom had its own private, full bathroom, there was a full kitchen and there was even a small laundry room. Perfect if you have children or you are staying for a longer period of time.

The food and drinks were VERY good, especially for an all-inclusive! I am accustomed to the all-inclusive trips I took to Mexico in my twenties (had a blast on those trips, so nothing against them), but this is definitely NOT the same; it’s much higher end. It’s still the Caribbean, so island life is a little bit slower (island time), but overall this experience was top-notch. It’s ideal for couples and families who want privacy and to spend quality time together. I have to say that it’s probably in my top 5 best vacations I have taken and I 100% plan to go back.

I have so much more to say, but I guess I’ll have to wait until I get my website up!
