Have you competed in the two oceans marathon?? The world’s most beautiful marathon which stretches a whopping 56KM around the cape Peninsular. Graham, the oldest member of Escape + Explore put us all to shame after smashing his 20th Two Oceans this Easter Weekend finishing with a time of 6 hours 59 minutes and 15 seconds. Yep that is 45 seconds before the finishing gun deadline after which no medals are handed out.

“The elusive Double Blue...I had to dig really deep to land this one just 45 seconds before the gun cut off. But what an incredible experience coming to the final straight in a state of total exhaustion, the crowd going absolutely crazy, and just one thing in focus - the finish line!” said the Legend himself.

Epic arrival Des Wood arrived yesterday with his team for the Cape Town 10s flying from Chester, UK to Cape Town in a single prop plane it's taken 6 weeks!! Thirsty Des?

Mrs Crimble’s Chairman, Bill Mapstone, left earlier this week on a quest to circumnavigate Africa via Cape Town in a light aircraft in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign. This epic quest will see him cover 15,000 miles in 6 weeks, visiting 20 countries along the way.

The Springbok Experience Rugby Museum offers a fun and entertaining experience for the whole family and is a ‘must-do’ attraction at the heart of the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

The museum features more than 60 audio visual displays where visitors can watch the history of South African rugby unfold.

There are games for children and adults alike where they can test their kicking, passing, fitness and reaction skills in the interactive ‘Springbok Trials’ games zone.

Determination Chris Bertish has it in bucket loads. After paddling for 6 hours and nearly 50km as part of his World Record 24 hour Open Ocean SUP attempt he finally put his paddle down in complete darkness as weather forecasts changed in 3.5km chaotic seas, 40km offshore. Thank you all for the support! After paddling for 6 hours and 47km, the sea became too difficult for me to manage. With my team battling to keep track of me in the wild ocean at night, over 40km offshore, I called it off and climbed back onboard as waves broke over the stern of the craft, in 3.5m rough seas and 25-30knts of breeze. It was exciting, grueling, scary at times, beautiful at others, heart wrenching and challenging on every level. The most difficult 6 hours I can remember, but we gained great insight, experience and lessons which we have de-briefed with the team to ensure when we do it again, we can make a great deal of changes to secure a more positive outcome.
