The Agave on the right is looking good. But a day later the same plant is lying on the ground. It happens now and then. The Agave bloom gets so big that the plant becomes top-heavy and comes crashing down.

Should it be Cholla Ridge Retreat? Well, no. Chollas are not pervasive here, but this one near Raven House looks nice.

It looks like a good but not great year for agaves at Agave Ridge Retreat. We found five blooms near Raven House, two near Agave House and more on the land nearby. The first picture is the bloom just outside Agave House shown in a previous post. It has grown and changed in just a few days.
