💫 Okay, once upon a time, dining on a cruise 🚢 DID absolutely mean dining with guests you didn’t know. Some folks ♥️ love(d) that, but for others, it was enough to turn them off of cruising altogether. That is no longer always the case! You can request to dine (on most cruises) with just the adorable faces you’ve paid for. It’s not a guarantee, but there’s a chance so request it early. If you are more extroverted and want to dine with new to you friends, that’s still a real possibility. Let’s be honest, who thought dining with strangers was still the norm and freaked you out just enough to shy away from even inquiring about cruise vacations? (No shame, not everyone is looking to make new friends on vacation!) Nervous that the rotational dining on your Disney Cruise menu may be...exotic for your more simple palate? You are NOT alone as that is a VERY common question for first time cruisers, and I am thrilled to set your mind to ease. There are so many choices on every menu and always a “safe” option. You can also just go crazy and only order appetizers, order from the kid’s menu, double up on an entree - whatever floats your boat, the world is your oyster, so to speak. What has been the most surprising and delicious thing you’ve found on one of your Disney Cruise 🚢 sailings?

🪄 The wand chooses the wizard, you know, and everything about visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is like stepping straight into the movies and books - even the wands! Here are a few helpful tips for aspiring wizards to know before hitting these areas of both parks:

⭐️ Interactive vs Standard Wands: Not all wands are created equally so be sure to choose wisely based on what you want to do. Interactive wands are pricier but there are lots of spell locations throughout both parks (marked by medallions on the ground) where you can put your wizarding skills to the test.

⭐️ Ollivanders Wand Shop: For the serious fans, this is a special place. Small groups are taken into the shop and a lucky one will be chosen to go through a wand selection. Even if you aren’t chosen, you will find wands for all the beloved (and villainous) characters.

⭐️ Spell Locations: There are more than 20 areas through the Wizarding World where you can test out your skills with an interactive wand, which comes with a map of spell locations. A word of warning, many of these are tough to get just right so don’t get discouraged. There are usually Team Members around to help if you need a little extra assistance.

Sure, we all went through that dark time a few years ago where international travel felt like it may never fully return. It is BACK and more popular than ever. 🧳 A vacation is an investment, right? And let’s be real—a Disney Cruise 🚢 Line vacation can feel like a BIG investment..You want to make sure it’s absolutely perfect. I’ve got you! Let’s break down a few ways to make sure you’re planning the ultimate Disney cruise:

⭐️ Itinerary: There are a LOT of options. The Caribbean is a big place, so make sure you know if you want Eastern or Western. Or are you in it for the scenery of Alaska or the Mediterranean.

⭐️ Stateroom: I know we all THINK the room is just a place to sleep, but when you’re sharing 169 square feet it can feel small even with your eyes closed. Not having natural light is also a deal breaker for many. Be selective with the room!

⭐️ Activities: There are SO many! Download the Disney Cruise Line app before boarding. That’s where you’ll access everything happening onboard. You can even favorite the activities you want to do, and you’ll get a reminder notification a little before it starts. Enjoy activities like trivia, Bingo, character meet and greets,animation classes, crafts, and more.

✨ There are currently 2 rides at WDW that offer a FREE virtual queue option. Tron Lightcycle/Run in Magic Kingdom & Guardiana of Galaxy Cosmic Rewind in Epcot. Here’s some tips to help you successfully snag a boarding group! ⭐️ 1. Get off the WiFi! Think of all the other people who are trying to use the WiFi & the MDE App right at 7am just like you. You’ll be better off just using your phone’s data. ⭐️ 2. Confirm everyone in your party BEFORE 7am. When you get into the My Disney Experience App you’ll have the option to select your travel party. You do not want to be doing this at 7am. ⭐️ 3. Start hitting the refresh button at the bottom of your app’s screen to join the virtual queue about 30 seconds to 1 minute before 7am hits. It helps if you have someone else in your party pull up a world clock while you’re doing this. ⭐️ 4. Just KEEP CLICKING - or whatever it was the Dory said. Do not slow down. Do not stop to read. Just keep tapping away until you’re through & officially have your boarding group! It can be a little stressful the first time you try and join the virtual queue system & you may even be unsuccessful the first time. That’s okay!
