Dominican Republic extends the entry requirement again!

The Dominican Republic has announced updated entry requirements for Canadians.

“Citizens of European Union countries, England, Canada, United States, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador are allowed to enter the Dominican Republic for tourist purposes exclusively with a valid passport during their stay and departure from the country.”

In the update, dated June 14, the country’s authorities specify that this exceptional measure will be applied until Nov. 30, 2024.

In principle, after this date, passports must be valid for at least six months after the date of arrival in the Dominican Republic, unless a new change is announced before then, which has already happened several times before.

(Its a good idea to stay informed on entry requirements - we have already had guests denied entry to DR because their passport did not have 6 months validity - and the restriction had already been extended!)
