CaveandSheltertreks it is trekking company opened for two season. The Company is run by and employs members of the local small community bringing much needed income to the area.

‘Cave and Shelter’ is a trekking Company based in Melamchi Ghyang, a remote village on the edge of the Langtang National Park in Nepal near the Tibetan border. The ancient Salt Route, which brought salt from Tibet to Nepal has been registered by the Company as a new trekking route and provides truly spectacular views of the Himalayas while travelling through a virgin, previously little visited are

a of Nepal. Although some overnight accommodation will be in lodges, some will be in the caves used by the original salt traders and some in simple wooden shelters. This is a trek for those who wish to explore Nepal away from the well beaten tracks amid the beauty and tranquillity of this unspoiled Himalayan region.
