FREE HUNTING LICENSE: Michigan Out-of-Doors commends Meijer for getting the next generation of youth involved in conservation. It's hunter and angler dollars that pay for conservation, and we need to pass on the heritage and tradition that we all love. Meijer is setting a great example by incentivizing our youth and their parents to get outside.

This week marks Aquatic Invasive Species Awareness Week in Michigan. Dumping bait into a waterbody is one way aquatic invasives spread. Remember to dispose of bait in the trash – not the water. The new online retail bait shop locator can assist anglers in purchasing live bait from a licensed local store - http://bit.ly/MiBaitShops. This is just one way to help stop the spread of aquatic invasive species. www.mi.gov/invasivespecies
