Pixie and Pirate Destinations, LLC - Lisa Reese [email protected] ~ Let me help you plan a Magical Vacation! I have made countless trips to visit the Mouse both on Land and Sea.

My name is Lisa and I am a Vacation Planner who holds a special place in my heart for all things Disney. I am a Vacation Planner for Pixie and Pirate Destinations, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. I frequently travel to various Disney destinations to further my knowledge and share the information with you (oh yeah and to have lots of fun too!). I have been helping clients enjoy Magical Vacat

ions since 2007. I like to consider myself a Vacation Planner as opposed to a Travel Agent. I will go above and beyond to help customize your trip, making each and every visit a once in a lifetime vacation. I love working with you to create personalized touring plans. Some of the services I provide include booking your dining reservations, booking excursions and helping you plan special "extras". I realize the importance of a flexible itinerary and I was helping friends and family enjoy the Magic long before I became an "Official" Dream Vacation Planner. My favorite part of being a Vacation Planner is getting to provide "Service with Pixie Dust" and to make my clients' trips as magical as they can be!!!

Clients of mine just returned from a cruise to the Western Caribbean. They had an amazing time. They were sailing on the Brand New Disney Treasure. They were able to capture this photo of the Disney Treasure (Disney's newest cruise ship) and the Disney Magic (Disney's oldest cruise ship) docked next to one another in Mexico.

Ironically these are my favorite (Magic) and second favorite (Treasure) Disney cruise ships.

What are your favorite ships to sail on (Disney Cruise Line....or any Cruise Line)? Why?

The Magic was the first ship I sailed on in 2000. I have sailed a total of 31 nights on the Disney Magic (the Wonder is my most sailed ship at 34 nights) and enjoyed every one of them. While the Treasure is the ship I have sailed the least number of nights on (only 3). There is just something "extra" about the Treasure that I didn't feel on the other ships. The Magic will always hold such a special place in my heart though and stays at the top of the list!

The soundtrack to Hercules is so good!! I haven't watched this in forever. Today a client mentioned that this used to be her daughters favorite (Meg specifically) so I put it on as I was making dinner.

What movie do you think is underrated and why?

I always recommend that my clients make one of thier days at the Magic Kingdom a day where there is an extra ticketed party happening the same night. The crowds are always so low. Today we waited less then the posted times for every ride we rode. We got to the park at 10:30am after breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe and we left the park at 5pm. During that time we rode Buzz (I won) saw the Carousel of Progress, rode Haunted Mansion, got a great parade spot, rode Big Thunder Mountain, rode Pirates of the Caribbean, saw the Country Bear Jamboree, rode the Jingle Cruise, rode Tiana’s Splash Mountain, bought a new Christmas Mickey and got some treats! We finished the night with Burgers and a Fire back at our Cabin! Such a great day!

One of the best parts of staying at Ft. Wilderness is that you are so close to the Hoop Dee Doo. We had a great time here. You can go to the Hoop Dee Doo without staying at the campground but being so close is an added bonus!

It’s the Reese’s Christmas Trip time. Every year we rent a Cabin at Ft. Wilderness as our Christmas Gift to each other. We bring Christmas pillow cases, a small tree and even blow ups for the yard. This year the Cabins are brand new! They are a great option for a family of 5 or 6 who have outgrown traditional hotel rooms. They also have a full kitchen and a grill! It’s super easy to rent a golf cart too! We have a whole day of camp ground fun planned tomorrow.

After I got on the ship I went to my room and started to unpack. I am an unpacker....I like to "move in" to my room as soon as possible. After I unpacked and took a little swing in the hammock on my balcony I headed to the Galley to grab a bite to eat with my friend Regina. The Galley is Virgin's answer to the standard buffet you will find on most cruise lines. You can find a range of cuisines and dishes to suit your taste. This food hall has different stations, each with its specialty and theme. You can order from any of the stations, and either eat at the communal tables or take your food to go. The Galley itself is open 24/7. Some eateries inside operate at specific times. After having a sandwich I popped over to grab an Ice Cream. I loved the ice cream options. They changed slightly each day, but were always creamy and delicious. Up next was the sail away party hosted by the Diva! There was free Champagne flowing, great music and my first introduction to my favorite onboard entertainer, Alejandro - Check him out here - https://www.instagram.com/alejandrothespark?igsh=bzlmMjRteXVrMnRs

We took the Brightline train from Orlando to Miami to start this cruise. It was a first for all four of us and it was not a last. It was a great comfortable ride. We then took an Uber to the Terminal.

Since Virgin Voyages matched my Disney Cruise Line status I was able to board pretty early. The check in was smooth and I was given my bracelet. This is a great piece of technology. It opens the doors, allows you to charge to your room or access your Bar Tab to pay for drinks. It also is what you scan to get on and off the ship.

Once onboard your room is ready right away. Because of this I carried on my luggage instead of giving it to the porters outside of the terminal. Next time I will just drop my luggage off. It was a pain to carry it on myself even though I could take it right to my room and drop it off. It may not be so bad for everyone, but I am an overpacker and had two 50 pound suitcases and a carry on....LOL

My room was great. I did the bidding for an upgraded room and went from an inside room to a balcony room for about $250 more. It was worth it for that Hammock alone.

All Virgin Voyages cabins mix a minimalist design ( think IKEA ) with tech-forward accessories (such as an iPad that controls the A/C, curtains and mood lighting). The look is more plain than you'll find on other cruise lines that feature thick mattresses, fluffy duvets and wood cabinetry in their cabins. I missed the thick mattress.

In the cabins, the bed is interesting. It can transform from a queen bed to twins and can turn into an L-shaped lounging couch. I never opted to have my amazing room attendants do that though. The mattresses are rearranged on a long platform to form various arrangements; any uncovered portion of the platform serves as a nightstand or low table. I did not love this. I also thought the bed was pretty hard. There is a desk/vanity in the standard cabins with a round stool. There is space unit beneath the desk that had a real mini-fridge (this was so nice to keep my water caffe cold - they keep these filled for you) and small shelves. Above is a round mirror and a shelf holding the room-controlling tablet. It was a good room over all.

Since Virgin matched my Disney Cruise Line status I got a letter in my room that explained the benefits. This was a nice touch.

VIRGIN VOYAGES! I went on an agency retreat with some of my favorite co-workers aboard the Valiant Lady earlier this month. I am going to recap it all here for you over the next few days. It was an amazing cruise and I loved it so much I have booked my next one already! I will go over what I loved, what I hated and how it has compared to the other 40+ cruises I have been on. Stay tuned!
