The Hospitality Business Society is a student-run club under NYU’s Preston Robert Tisch Center. The organization is primarily for hotel and tourism management undergraduate majors. HBS serves as a resource to connect our student members with New York’s dominant hospitality industry through various events and initiatives, which span the realms of education, community service, career advancement, in

dustry relations, and social networking. With our connections and partnerships with industry professionals across New York, we are able to help you start building your network and career. Our events include hotel/restaurant/venue tours, panel discussions, networking events, and cross-school collaborations. Wow! Another tour! Join us on Friday, February 24th at 12:00PM to tour the Baccarat Hotel New York! The hotel is located at 28 W 53rd Street.

In March 2015, Baccarat Hotel New York opened in New York, one of Manhattan's most prestigious addresses, facing the MoMA and a stone's throw from Fifth Avenue. A glass tower of 50 floors, dedicated to the quintessence of luxury and excellence under the ægis of the three legendary syllables forming Baccarat's name. Offering 114 rooms and suites, the hotel also benefits from a 15-meter indoor pool and the very first Spa de La Mer in the USA.

We are touring TAO Downtown on Tuesday, November 15 from 3:00-4:15PM EST located at 92 9th Ave. New York, NY 10011. You won't want to miss this amazing experience!

Designed by Rockwell Group, TAO Downtown offers a distinct sense of arrival and discovery and is the first TAO venue where guests descend into a multi-level space. The subterranean restaurant, located in the heart of Chelsea, is intended to look and feel as if it has been there for decades and only unearthed recently to reveal the artifacts within. Upon arrival, guests immediately encounter a long corridor with a dragon scale patterned screen and Chinese calligraphy murals mounted on weathered brick walls.

Wahoo! Another tour upcoming! We are touring the restaurant OIJI MI on Saturday, November 5th from 3PM-5PM located at 17 W 19th St. New York, NY 10011.

OIJI MI, a new concept from Oiji Hospitality Group in Flatiron. OIJI MI offers a creative contemporary Korean dining experience composed uniquely for NYC.

Helmed by Owner and Executive Chef Brian Kim, OIJI MI is the culmination of Chef Kim’s longtime passion to bring a new level of traditional flavors and inherently Korean dishes, and reinterpreting them into a modern culinary experience.

OIJI MI follows in the footsteps of the fan-favorite East Village restaurant, Oiji, which since its opening in 2015, has become an essential go-to for refined Korean dining in downtown Manhattan. OIJI MI is an evolution of the original Oiji concept, echoing the same philosophy, but with an elevated perspective on the bigger stage.

The Hospitality Business Society is a student-run club under NYU’s Jonathan M. Tisch Center. The organization is primarily for hotel and tourism management undergraduate majors. HBS serves as a resource to connect our student members with New York’s dominant hospitality industry through various events and initiatives, which span the realms of education, community service, career advancement, industry relations, and social networking. We organize biannual Internship Fairs, announce professional and volunteer opportunities, and establish both student and alumni relationships through our mentorship program. General meetings typically occur on a monthly basis, and a variety of our events are organized for both professional and social purposes. These efforts will allow students to build meaningful professional relationships with NYU faculty, industry professionals, and local community members. HBS was once known as the Pineapple Society, which honored the pineapple as a symbol of the hospitality industry.
