PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT ISSUES RESTRICTIONS ON INBOUND TRAVEL – UPDATE
The Philippine government has limited the maximum number of passenger arrivals from international flights to 1,500 a day for all airlines combined into Manila for the period beginning 8:00 AM of March 18 up to 8:00 AM of April 19; and has temporarily suspended the entry of Foreign Nationals and Returning Overseas Filipinos who are non-OFWs beginning 12:01AM of March 20 up to April 19, 2021. The restrictions are part of a series of pandemic control measures announced by the authorities.

Philippine Airlines will be announcing additional flight cancellations for the remainder of the stated period once the details are confirmed.
RESTRICTIONS ON TYPES OF TRAVELERS:
For the March 20 up to April 19 period, only the following types of travelers are allowed to enter the Philippines:
- Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)
- Holders of 9(e) visas
- Passengers on medical repatriation and their escort/s duly endorsed by the Department of Foreign Affairs - Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs or the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration
- Distressed Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) duly endorsed by the Department of Foreign Affairs - Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs
- Emergency, humanitarian and other cases approved by the National Task Force on Covid-19
If you belong to the profile of passengers prohibited to arrive in the Philippines within the said period, you will have to avail of any of the following options:
1) Rebook on the flight of your choice (on the same cabin class) with rebooking service fees waived; or
2) Refund your ticket cost; or
3) Convert your ticket into a travel voucher for future use.
