Having just received this news yesterday morning, I have reduced the number of spaces available for next year’s Venice tour out of caution. If you wanted in on that trip, please note there were already very limited spaces left, so reach out and register asap. Our tour in April was incredible in every possible way and Venice is an absolutely awesome place which I hope will continue to possess all of its magic for generations to come!

Groups of more than 25 and loudspeakers are no longer allowed to reduce the impact of mass tourism.

White Sand: Part 2 Incredible scenery with drivers who are, as always, amazingly awesome at their jobs. We had an absolute blast 4×4ing through this incredible land. The limestone formations sculptured by nature were beautiful. Our picnic lunch against the cool limestone amphitheatre-esque formation was a lot of work for our drivers, and it was much appreciated. Back at camp, we had an outdoor barbecue, and the drivers provided the very entertaining singing and dancing, and we happily joined in the fun.

We all went to bed exhausted and very happy! On to Day four!

Day one of Oases in Egypt: A little off-road 4 X 4ing to see petrified wood in the desert, then sea shells... in the same desert. We checked out some tombs in a local cemetery, and had a lovely lunch. We shall continue making new friends over dinner tonight!

Today’s image(s) of the week were taken in an insanely unique place called an ossuary, or osario, in Wamba, Spain. This is a room full of the bones of approximately 3,000 people who died from the 13th - 18th centuries.

Meet Miss Piggy! I decided that since the murals of Churchill, MB made such an impression on me, that I would share more of them with you. This is one painted on a plane which crashed in its current location in 1979. Many of the murals in Churchill are painted on things that may otherwise be “ugly”, such as this or buildings that are decrepit. I believe this shows that beauty can be created anywhere.
