नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय विधेयक.............................................
21 अगस्त 2010 को कांग्रेस नेतृत्व वाली यूपीए सरकार के प्रधानमंत्री डॉक्टर मनमोहन सिंह कार्यकाल के दौरान
राज्यसभा में और 26 अगस्त 2010 को लोकसभा में पारित किया गया था।

इस बिल को 21 सितंबर 2010 को राष्ट्रपति की सहमति प्राप्त हुई।

इस तरह 25 नवंबर 2010, को ही ऐतिहासिक धरोहर नालंदा विश्विद्यालय पुनः अस्तित्व में आया।

यद्यपि विश्विद्यालय की स्थापना महान विद्वान राजा कुमार गुप्त प्रथम के करकमलों द्वारा 5 वीं शताब्दी में हुई थी।

12 वीं शताब्दी में आक्रमणकारियों ने इसे नष्ट कर दिया था।
