Chessguru My name is Simone Sobel, I am ranked on the top 50 US women's list and I want to share my passion of chess by teaching this amazing game to your children.

Chess is a truly amazing game that uses so many cognitive abilities(logic,memory,creativity,stategy, foresight to name a few). It is a wonderful activity for your children to engage in, and is far superior to television and video games. I love teaching my passion, and I have developed my own curriculum from my experiences as a player and teacher. Classes can be conducted at my home, your home, or through the internet. I played the American Open over thanksgiving weekend where I beat three higher rated opponents. It was a challenging and fun event, and there were many strong players and great chess was played! So many talented young players as well!
